A SF classic banh mi spot. I wish they had a veggie sandwich with a tofu option that isn't deep fried. Marinated tofu maybe?
Bánh mì is wonderful and this place does a great job at making them. It's a simple but diverse menu and the service is quick and efficient. They have what seems like back-to-back phone orders, which I may do next time as the line can get long. Avocado shake is great too.
Shaking Beef Banh Mi is to die for!
Amazing, hidden gem, the sandwiches are bomb and the spring rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had. 10/10
If you didn't know it was there, you might miss it. There are little dinosaur footprints to tell you where to line up.The sandwiches are amazing- good amount of meat and veggies. But the kicker is the spring rolls! Instead of cucumber, they put slices of granny Smith apple, which is a sweet surprise- the crunch and tart sweetness goes with the chicken and shrimp very well.
Surprisingly so delicious! Friend and I were hungry just trying to grab a quick bite to eat. I had the spicy tuna she had the shaking beef, spectacular flavors I've never tasted anywhere else. Shaking beef tasted like beef jerky, tuna was peppery, bread crispy and the vegetables light and crunchy. 100% will return.
I love the bahm mi here and would give it a 5 star. But I waited almost half hour standing there while they fulfilled all the call in orders. I think they need a better system of balancing out fulfilling call in orders and the walk ins where the customer is literally standing there and waiting and the call in people aren’t even there.
Got a kare kare bahn mi and it was hella good. I was itching for some kare kare and it hit the spot. The shrimp paste they gave along with it was just right, not too salty while still having enough impact. Very good.
Consistently solid spot for banh mis. The iced Vietnamese coffee was okay.
Hard to find and takeout only, but good sandwiches
