Simply the best! Got the hummus and the chicken waffles. Couldn’t have had a better brunch!
Great brunch place in the Potrero neighborhood!Went here on a Sunday for the brunch. All the places in the vicinity had long wait times. This was the only place which had 10 minutes wait, if we agreed for indoor seating. That’s how we stumbled upon this place.Ordering was through QR code, it was a smooth process and the food came sooner than expected too.We split the Breakfast Waffle plate between two of us. The quantity was sufficient for two people. It had a waffle, two eggs of your choice (I got scrambled), breakfast potatoes and huge piece of fried chicken.Waffle was too soft for my liking. However, the chicken was well seasoned, perfectly fried and juicy. Moreover, they serve halal chicken which is a plus.I haven’t tried their pancakes, will have to go back to try those!
We were visiting from out of town and stumbled across this place, absolutely amazing!!! 5 star service and good portions, everything was super fresh and hot. We also had the chicken and waffles, not pictured, but tasted great and delicious! I highly recommend.
food is so good!! stopped in because we were struggling to find somewhere to eat breakfast and this place definitely did the trick! i split the shakshuka and it was so tasty!! i also split a side order of potatoes, which had some of the most amazing flavor i’ve ever tasted in breakfast potatoes. only downside is that the inside of the restaurant was FREEZING!! i also do really like how you can complete the entire order process via online while you’re there, it helps make things more efficient! :)
The food here is so good! We have been here twice and it was excellent both times. They are very busy and you may have to wait to get in but the chicken and waffles are worth it! Try the carrot orange juice too, it is fresh squeezed. Hands down the best fried chicken I've ever had.
The chicken and waffles were very tasty, especially the chicken. It had a peppery coating and was fried perfectly, still juicy on the inside. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. Brioche bun was light, the egg was fluffy and the garlic aioli wasn't overpowering. I added the bacon, but it would have been Awesome with the fried chicken. The fresh squeezed orange juice was pricey but refreshing. Small, quaint and the pics of sports celebrities on the wall were interesting. Enjoy! If I lived in the neighborhood and not the East Bay, I would frequent Cracked & Battered quite often.
Scanned QR at the table to order and pay. The food came out quick and it was prepared perfectly. Very tasty. Halal.
OMG - we were visiting SF and wanted to have a substantial breakfast before walking the Golden Gate Bridge. Cracked and Battered was just the right spot. I can't think of the many dishes that we tried. It was four of us and we tried at least four dishes. Portion was very generous and everything was very tasty. Fried Chicken and Waffles was a big hit. I highly, highly recommend this spot. Be aware, they only have a few tables on the inside.
Well worth the price! Great staff with jovial interactions! Plentiful helpings! Great start to our day. We’ll be back!
Great services and even more amazing foods! Came here on a Saturday and was seated right away outside. I don’t recommend sitting in the sun too long cause that’s me, but overall the vibes here in the neighborhood is super welcoming. The chickens were moist inside and super crunchy outside. The Benedict has amazing gravy while the biscuit is equally soft and goes well with the eggs.
