BE WARNED; BAIT AND SWITCH. DO NOT EAT HEREWe were looking for an affordable place to eat some Chinese food after we visited the Botanical Gardens. Passed by this place and noticed the reasonable prices lunch special (around $12). Ordered the house special lunch, chicken sesame and garlic eggplant. Also ordered some wonton soup.Food came out. Soup was ok. Main dishes standard Chinese grub. Sesame chicken was barely warm. My house special had two (2) shrimp in it. Tea resembles sewer water (never drank sewer water but i guess that's what it tastes like).Asked for the bill and they presented me with some Chinese scribbles and $59.20!!! I did some quick math (3x11+10) nowhere near the $60 he charged me. When I mentioned the bill is wrong he said we charged you full price instead of lunchmenu price. TOTAL RIPPOFF.BE WARNED; BAIT AND SWITCH. DO NOT EAT HERE

Good authentic Chinese food. Service is good.Highly recommend the spicy basil lamb and Chinese broccoli beef.I saw people ordered beers there. But I didn’t find them on menu. Maybe I just missed them.Overall this place doesn’t have lots of choices for Chinese food. The waiter told me that there’s more choices if we go west and passed the 19th Avenue.

this place was amazing. super delicious dim sum and fried chicken wings. their soup dumplings were delicious as well. super kind service and food came back fast.

This place is amazing. Me and my wife went here a few months ago and the food was delicious. Its a nice, chill environment with friendly staff. We order the dry fried chicken wings. They really are the best in San Francisco. Pork buns, house chowmein and Mongolian 3 meat plate. Good value and taste. I highly recommend it.

Serving all kinds of Chinese food and price very acceptable. Cosy ambient and nice services. Will surely try again next visit to SF

Stir fry dishes were more flavorful than soup noodles. Pretty fast kitchen when getting our orders to the table.

Just OK. If doing takeout, insist on the number of sauces you want. (They skimp.) Chow Mein was best of what we ordered. Speed of preparation was good.

Everything we ordered here were fresh and delicious. Nice staff, loved their service.

they are not lying... word to san tung across the street

The worst nightmare restaurant experience that I have ever had!! Come here if you want overpriced mediocre food at best, insults from their owner and server, and poor customer service! I would leave zero stars if I could. We traveled here on August 1,2021, and happened to be in the area. Therefore, we had no bias or prejudice against this restaurant. After we sat down at the empty restaurant during lunch hour, we ordered our food, but we didn't order tea and the server didn't bring water but brought tea to us while we were waiting. We thought it should be free but later found out we were charged 4 dollars for the tea without even disclosing the cost upfront. My mom asked for the price of a fish dish when we were ordering, they told us it was 13 or 14, then we found out the server lied to us about the price. For a fish dish priced at 19 dollars, the portion was ridiculously small because there was not much fish at all and was mostly tofu and veggies. The beef dish my parents ordered ended up being most tofu with very few pieces of beef.My husband and I ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolia Beef. The dishes were not even close to authentic. They must have used extreme amount of baking soda to tenderize the meat which made the chicken taste like baking soda and lost its original flavor. The Kung Pao chicken was not even Kung Pao Chicken. It was just a regular stir fry chicken.I bet their cook didn't know how to cook authentic Chinese traditional dishes...It is a shame that you call yourself a Chinese restaurant. After I complained to the server for charging the tea without disclosing the cost upfront and the food portion being too small. The server reluctantly took the tea cost off our bill but started to argue with me and my husband with a rude attitude. The server brought us one check after my parents indicated that they wanted a separate check. The owner humiliated my parents by saying "your daughter doesn't want to pay for your food" and call us poor :) Based on how empty their restaurant is, you know how they have treated their customers with dishonesty and insults.I would not waste time and money with this Chang's Kitchen Restaurant unless you like the poor overpriced quality food and poor customer service.
