This place was listed on many travel videos as a must stop place for the salt and hot pepper wings and boy did they live up to the hype. They were about 15 minutes from opening (we did not realize) and we walked in and they did not turn us away. They took our order and we came back to our order - extremely fresh and hot in temperature. Not spicy. Good stuff. Stop here on your next visit to Chinatown for a wing fix.
Very friendly staff. We’re mostly vegetarians and they helped us navigate through the menu as well as offering us custom made dishes. When we ran out of soup they went in and got us some more. Big portions. We couldn’t eat it all. I can’t but recommend this place.
My favorite Cantonese spot in Chinatown. No frills, extremely reasonable prices and great service. Everything was seasoned perfectly with large portions.
Awesome food! Everything I had was very tastyY. And OMG THEIR CHICKEN WINGS! Get them!! They are delicious. You can order 6 instead of 12, which is a pretty good deal when you just want them as a starter or just a taste of them. The waitress was very nice too and always looking if i needed something! Definitely go to this place, specially in china town, where sometimes it’s hard to pick a restaurant when you are not from town.
Salt and pepper chicken wings are their specialty and it's delicious.Must have with every meal.Beef with bitter melon, oyster omelet and pork patty with salted eggs are a must every time I visit.Good Chinese comfort food whenever you have the urge to go into Chinatown.
Generals chicken was good. Cream cheese wontons were 99% dough 1% cheese. They never gave us the wings or eggrolls we ordered. The waitress was horrible. Rude, disrespectful and uncaring. At one point we tried to tell her we didnt get the chicken and eggrolls and she ignored us. We asked again and she waved her hand (while looking at her phone) and said "hold on" and never came back.We waited 15 mins before going up to ask to cancel the wings and eggrolls and she never apologized and just ignored us the rest of the time and made another person help us. They attempted to charge us for the wings anyway and we had to ask to refund the order.I wouldn't come back here if I was going to starve.
Everything was very good. excellent customer service and food was very delicious. I ordered the chicken wings for appetizer and Kung pao chicken and rice for meal. Will certainly be back when we’re in San Francisco again.
This is Chinatown! A wonderful, no-nonsense restaurant with a friendly staff and a great selection of 'traditional' Chinese food delights. Our family had a wonderful meal - and the least expensive of all the places we visited over the weekend. Dishes were well prepared and delicious!
We went whole hog by ordering the salt and pepper chicken wings, Mongolian Beef, Won Ton soup, spicy meat eggplant, vegetables chowmein, Chinese broccoli and rice. Everything was great, I can not wait to go back. The chowmein was super tasty and not full of soy, the won ton soup broth was perfection had depth the won ton full of flavor wrapper was cooked to perfection, the spicy eggplant with meat. The eggplant was super tasty, not really spicy but had a lick of heat. My favorite dish was the Mongolian beef the meat was tender with the right amount of white and green onions. Very sweet staff very accommodating.
