A hidden gem in San Francisco! Food was superb! I celebrated my birthday here with my fiance and they gave us comp white wine by the glass and a free ice cream dessert!
Thank you Canela! This was an outstanding dining experience. Five friends gathered to celebrate two birthdays which the restaurant recognized beautifully. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed eating slowly and in phases. Our waiter recommended so many great pairings of tapas. I would definitely visit again! We sat outside which was perfect even though it's right on Market street. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Great place - wonderful food, excellent drinks (try their vermouths!). Unfortunately this time we had a pretty slow service. We waited ten minutes to place our order. Our first course arrived before our drinks. We watched another table received their check and pay while we were still waiting for our credit card to be noticed. Perhaps they were understaffed. Other times service had been great. They also changed the bacon wrapped dates to serano wrapped dates which was fine, but since the dates werenât warm, the dish lost most of its pizazz. Overall the place is great (weâve been three times before) but yesterday was lackluster⦠hope itâs not a sign of things to come.
We had the prix rice tapas. All were executed perfectly. We definitely want to go back and try more of everything a la carte.
This place is an absolute gem and I’m embarrassed that it took me 10 years to visit.1. The octopus is fantastic2. The seafood paella is excellent (see picture)3. The chocolate olive oil almond cake is superb (also pictured)4. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations.5. We ordered the Paella upon arriving (we didn’t reserve in advance), so you can always ask the staff and they might be able to make it happen.6. The wines were very good and the staff was great at suggesting pairings.7. The gambas al ajillo were also great!8. My companion said the cheeses were good.Would absolutely return again!
