Patties are cooked medium. That is the default. But you can get other levels of done-ness if you ask nicely enough. The beef is tender and juicy, however it's cooked. Condiments and toppings are all top-notch. Good cheese selection. Fries? Cooked in tallow, as they should be. Crispy and delicious. You'll be missing out on something great if you don't get one of the malted milkshakes here.
I've been coming here since 2017 (once every few months) so I don't know how I haven't reviewed this awesome place yet. The burgers and fries are perfect every time and always made to order. They use fresh ingredients and that's reflected in taste and price. The shakes are nice and thick and refreshing on a hot day. Service is always good in my experience.If you can only try one thing from Calibur, I highly recommend the Calibur fries. Imagine In-N-Out's animal-style fries but the fries are actually good by themselves.It's sad to see that they're staying with parklet seating as the pandemic comes to a close, but I'm glad they're still around, and with a loyal customer base.
One of my favorite burgers in the city. Whether you order online or go in person, the burgers, BLT, chili, and fries are always top tier. Calibur and Pearls are my go to spots.
Good tasty burger. My fries were very garlicy, just like I requested. I went back today. Again, good food. I was satisfied for my burger & fries craving. Nice & garlicky. Fast service, but you know the food is not premade & just waiting to be reheated. Clean bathroom was a plus. 6/2/20: I paid for a chocolate shake. They gave me vanilla. I did not realize until I was down the street. That was disappointing. 7/8/20: I ordered a chocolate. Shake. This time a different person took my order & made the correct shake. It was excellent! 8/7/20: The cheeseburger, cheesy garlic fries, & chocolate milkshake were good, but I like crispy fries. Their fries were not cooked crispy. 8/22/20: i ordered delivery. It was fast! The strawberry shake was very fruity. The vege cheeseburger was too notch! Similar taste of a real hamburger without the animal fat. I chose the option for my whole order to use vegetable oil & not beef tallow. The Calibur fries & the chili cheese fries were excellent! Their grilled onions are sweet & tasty. The grilled cheese sandwich was the best one I had in a long time. Great that they add in onions & tomato. Their food was wrapped well. Everything tasted wonderful! 3/23/21: Excellent new style neopolitan shake, vegebuger, & Calibur ?. 7/10/21: 4th time I had delivered food from Calibur.
Pretty good burger fare. Get the double! But just blew my mind when looking at the name. It stands for Cali Bur-ger!
Burger is juicy but flavor is lacking
Superb burger spot in this corner of The City. I like to get a cheeseburger here with cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles, along with tallow fries and a malted vanilla milkshake. It's good food made with good ingredients. You can't go wrong with Calibur.
Probably one of the best burgers in San Francisco. Their sauces are amazing and the garlic fries were perfection.
My favorite burger in SF (really good fries, too)! I get mine single patty, cheddar, LTOP. I love the fresh crunch of the veggies and the bun is perfect. The burger manages to be juicy without being overly greasy, so it’s tasty and satisfying without being a gut bomb.
Perfect burger on a brioche style buttery bun and well dressed with fresh tomato, onion, lettuce and cheese. Both their Calibur sauce and house made ketchup are scrumptious with the Tallow fries. Friendly and fresh fast service.
