Sides were very overpriced. Server charged me for something I did not order.

I came here for breakfast and it was a very cute cafe! Grabbed a seat at the bar and had an iced coffee with a croissant sandwich. The ambiance was lively, it was on the corner of a busy street, and was a great start to my morning.

Just dropped in for some pastry and coffee, and it was very good. Chocolate croissant was great. Good latte as well.

Restaurant is wonderful. The food was great, and our waitress, Soumaya, is a star! I was there on a brunch date with my girlfriend, and Soumaya brought some delicious food and wonderful energy that sparked joy for us. 10/10 recommend

Our appetizers were delivered quickly but my friends main entree took forever to be served. It was closer to cling time but still not cool

Amazing service wine food

Excellent food and service but why the obtrusive occasionally wailing flamenco music?? It was very annoying.

We enjoyed our food as we dined outside. Service was very good. You can always count on Cafe De La Presse for authentic French food.

We had an excellent lunch here. It is probably worth making a reservation although the restaurant is large and wasn't that busy at 1130 this Saturday. Note when you make a reservation, they won't seat you until your entire party is there. This is perfectly fine and I understand the policy, but it seemed strictly enforced so if you are dining with habitually late-coming companions, you will be hanging around the bar area until they arrive. This happened to us, which is how I know. It's all very good natured but beware at busy times, as it may cost you your table. We were a 5 top, notoriously difficult for a restaurant to manage, I imagine, and we were sat at a table for 6 that worked well. The restaurant is pretty authentically french in decor and layout, although the ubiquitous posters of things french was perhaps trying too hard. Service was friendly and attentive although no french accents! The famously brusque french service (efficient, relaxed in speed, delivered without a smile) was absent although they timed the service well for us, seeming to understand we wanted to talk and not be rushed. We ordered a couple of alcoholic drinks from the bar and these did take a long time and were not delivered with the soft drinks we ordered which isn't ideal. French menu, obviously, and very authentic and well done. I had a really excellent rendition of a croque madame which compared to any I have had in Paris, replete with a perfectly understated green salad. My dining companions declared their dishes to be similarly excellent including eggs benedict and french onion soup. As mentioned elsewhere, service was friendly, well paced and delivered with a smile and some badinage which always helps although is something I actively encourage. The ambience is also pretty french and the furniture well suited to a restaurant of this type. The restrooms are unisex as are many in SF but when I was in there there was no TP or hand towels - the dispensers of both were devoid of the requisite paper products. This shouldn't really ever be allowed to happen. They were refilled half an hour later so maybe I just hit the restroom at the wrong time. This is a very nice place to eat and I very much recommend it. A good find in the city.

We’ve been fans of this restaurant for years but the latest menu is the best yet. Delicious innovative new dishes along with their excellent classics. Shout out to Connie for the great service. So glad to have this place back 100% post pandemic
