One of the last good spots in the city. They play better music than anybody else, still not as good as what you get in other cities but if you’re in SF this is some of the best you can get
This is a great place to grab a drink and dance. The vibes are awesome and they have two projector screens playing old movies/funny videos.
Vlad, thank you for providing the perfect space for the last after-party at the end of the first weekend of 2022! Fabulous place, good food, extremely nice staff, and the energy from DJ Aaron the Era. I'll hope to be back soon! Gigi
Terrible experience. My friend and I fully got groped at this piece of garbage place, took it all the way up to the owner, and absolutely nothing was done. Super sexist staff, nobody responded or cared about what happened to us. Left right after a confrontation with the grotesque owner named Vlad or something and will not be coming back.

We arrived for Monday night happy hour, which apparently has become an optional nights at Butter since it doesn't tend to be busy. Makes sense- most people are nursing those weekend hangovers on Mondays. Therefore, we only got to taste an incredible sauvignon blanc from one winery, but Butter took care of us by giving us 3 lovely reds to taste and a few cheese plates. I may like cheese even more than I like wine so I was in happy hour heaven.I loved it and can't wait to go back on a different night when all the wineries are present. Butterb offers the best of both worlds- a taste of wine country right in the city. Obsessed!

It's a place that has some unusual drinks and carnival type food including fried Twinkies.
TRANS PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BAR!!!!! DANGEROUS!! i watched a trans person get RIPPED OUT of the bar in a CHOKEHOLD. it is ILLEGAL in California to enforce gendered bathrooms (and in Sf??!?????!!!!!) and to use EXCESSIVE AND DANGEROUS methods to do so is only salt in the wound. what else should residents expect from the owners of butter? DO NOT COME TO THIS BAR.
