I dropped by one morning as the window display was too enticing. There were already two clients in front of me but worth the wait. Ordered a apple fritter which was delicious with the dough chewier than I am accustomed to. The jasmine tea paired perfectly and while I waited for it, they suggested I sit in the patio since the bench was occupied. Since there is only one person in the front, it took a while and despite a slight mixup with the change, I returned again this morning. I had a bread pudding which was crusty outside and chewy inside along with a little surprise on the bottom. Love their outdoor patio which is large with wooden benches and chairs but I do wish the prices are on the display so clients can prepare in advance if paying in cash and that it was more organized.
Really awesome bakery - brought a variety to a father’s day lunch and everyone loved it. I especially have to call out the ham & cheese ? - so crispy and tasty. The chocolate muffins, Nutella donut and strawberry/apricot mini pie were all so good. Can’t go wrong!
All of their baked goods are absolutely delicious. From the cinnamon rolls, to the scones, to the pies themselves you can’t go wrong.
This place always has a line. It’s so popular in the Outer Richmond District. What’s great about this place is they always change up their pastry flavors. So do not expect to get the same pastry as you did the day before. Switching out their menu in an everyday bases isn’t what you see in an everyday bakery but that’s what keeps the charm in this place.I haven’t tried everything but I always get their CUPPIE. It’s a pastry shape like a cup with 2 or 3 different fruits.
If you’re ever in the Outer Richmond, be sure to stop in here for some lovely, delicious baked goods. I stop in here probably 1-2 times a week it’s that good. The shop is so cute, their menu (and specials) vary, and the prices are super fair. It’s hard not to buy 1 (or 2) of everything anytime I stop in.
Always a great selection this time I chose the ham and egg sandwich and a wonderful slice of pumpkin pie
Hi, I’m a savory person here to leave a review of sweet treats. Every single item I’ve ever eaten from Butter Love has been an exceptional example of baked goods. I’ve become emotional over mango coconut scones (really) and have longed for their savory pies. This place is a thing of magical, buttery, decadent pastries. I’m a forever customer. <3
Adorable shop with fresh/delicious baked goods and friendly staff. Recommen the savory scones, filled croissants, and chicken pot pies.
Whether or not this place has the best croissants in the city (possibly? but certainly gives Arsicault a run for their money) is not the point. The point is if you want a shatteringly crispy croissant with airy layers that taste like cold sticks of butter like the ones in Paris (and Copenhagen and London) and not the sad floppy horns that are the norm in the US, you’ll find them at Butter Love. You’ll also find a line that’s 1/20 shorter than Arsicault. Plus a really, really, really good chocolate croissant.
Wack sign on front window about card payment only, which is illegal in SF. Luckily, Devils Teeth down the street has a better brekkie sando AND accepts cash.
