Great food, a friendly owner, and lovely decor. We went here for lunch and got tea lead salad, pork with pickled mango, some noodles, and prawns with pumpkin. All of them were delicious, and the meat was tender. Tea leaf salad was an interesting combination of tastes and textures. The owner was very friendly and happy to talk about Burmese cuisine and the restaurant. The decor was simple, but very well done and created a pleasing ambience. It was a great first time trying Burmese food for us, and I would highly recommend it.

Upon my re-entry to SF after being away for six years, I noticed some of the restaurant owners were either retired or just simply shut down their business. Much to my delight, Burmese Kitchen is the one of the few restaurant that was not effective much by the covid or six years of duration apart. Pretty much everything remains the same since Ileft the city six years ago. Owner Dennis is still as friendly as he was. I tried two of my favorite dishes, Samosa soup and garlic rice noodles and left the restaurant as a happiest customer. Will visit again soon!

- B.K. Style Signature Tea Leaf Salad- Nan Gyi Thok - Rice Noodle Salad- Beef Lemongrass- Coconut Rice- Semolina CakeI visited a couple of Burmese places in SF, and this is one of the best place to go, especially for their Tea Leaf Salad and Coconut Rice!I had all the dishes above and all of them were amazing. It's a family business, and the salad is made super fresh when you order it. Coconut Rice had a great mix of sweetness from the coconut and the fragrance of the saltiness of onion. The texture was also perfectly chewy, but not too soft. I could tell the owners put a lot of care into each dish. And they're friendly, too! They were very careful about checking on a food allergy in my group. I'll definitely come back when I visit SF again!

Cute spot and a great option for quick, simple Burmese food. Tea leaf salad was good as usual. Loved the potato curry appetizer and tea offerings.I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the garlic noodles as I was looking for more flavor and salt but otherwise everything was great! Very friendly staff and good seating arrangement.

Absolutely superb food and service!!! Simon and his co workers were the best! They have an outdoor area as well as the kind of cramped inside quarters. A little too dark in decor but the food more than makes up for any other perceived shortcomings. Salmon was awesome and pea shoot were not available but they had a Chinese vegetable that was just as good. FoodGasm! My friend had a great spicy dish. Their sauces are great. I loved the home made chili sauce. We got a noodle dish to go that was incredible as well with a very wonderful garlic sauce. Large/ample portions for the price. I will definitely come back! They are very conservative about COVID requirements but not Nazis. This place is convenient to the Legion of Honor.

04/24 Every dish was uniquely flavorful and yummy. I've been meaning to go here and came with my immediate family and my grandma. We all enjoyed the food and cleaned off every plate! I especially loved the noodle salad and basil fish. As said in previous reviews, the service is quick and friendly, would go again.

I love Burmese Kitchen! As someone who grew up in Burma and has a mom who's an extremely good cook, this was as close to home as I could ask for. I've tried almost all the dishes and every one of them is delicious! The back outdoor patio is lovely and they heartlamps for those child SF days. The owners are so friendly and always make me feel welcome. Go support this local family owned restaurant!

Quiet and cozy ambience, excellent food, and wonderful service! Came here with my partner on a Thursday night for dinner to meet up with my cousin, her partner, and their daughter who were visiting from Washington, D.C. It was not crowded at all, which was really nice. We ordered the Roti & Potato Curry, Rainbow Salad, Chicken Coconut Curry, Beef Potato, and Tofu Curry. Rice on the side, of course. And a bottle of white wine :) Everything was delicious, and the service was top tier. Our server was gracious enough to let us linger for hours, and even took a photo of us at the table, since it was our first reunion in 11 years! We had a great experience.

One of the most authentic Burmese restaurants in SF. Wonderful salads: personally I love the ginger salad with toasted coconut, but tea leaf salad is very good here too. Spicy shrimp is a new favorite, juicy and a generous portion. They have a big sheltered patio in the back with outdoor seating; friendly, caring service too.

Modest digs, and a little hard to find back patio, but the food was excellent! Lovely hosts who were super helpful with making food choices. The food felt more authentic / homey and lovingly made compared to other Burmese places we've tried in SF!
