Very good meal with friendly service and great view over the bay. Sadly they seem to be toning down the Forrest Gump experience but daughter wouldn't have got it as not quite old enough to watch it yet. Seafood and rice dishes offer good alternative to the creamy/fried foods at most other restaurants on the pier.
The food was delicious and priced better than we expected. Take the Glass drinks were hard to resist chugging. And... Who could ask for a better view???The service was quick and friendly, seating was immediate upon arrival around 5 pm.I highly recommend getting the entire experience of dinner at Bubba Gump and a walk on Pier 39!
Any time I am in SF, a trip to Bubba Gump is always on the agenda. Sometimes there is a wait list but fortunately for us, we got right in, got a waterfront table. Service excellent (love the Stop Forest Stop signs to get your servers attention!!!). Food is always hot and tasty. It is at the end of the Pier so you get a nice flavor of the Pier and it's sights before getting to the restaurant. What do I get? SHRIMP!!!!
Very good. The film Forrest Gump is present everywhere here, they decorated the walls with pictures and movie stuff.The shrimp heaven dish is highly recommended for those who like seafood. And the Caesar salad with chicken is also recommended.
Been here many, many times. Always got bad service but we really wanted give Bubba Gumps another shot... This time it was like a different place. Food was great. Our waitress Mookie was super nice and friendly to us. That was a first for us to experience. Apologies if I spelled her name wrong but Mookie was on top of her game. Got us everything we needed and wanted with very little asking. She made us feel welcomed and special with nice comments while we ate.Food was hot, fresh and delicious. One salad came with no apple and Mookie got some quickly and it was so much better.Grandmas fried chicken with corn and mashed potatoes was awesome.BBQ bacon cheeseburger was good too.20 Shrimp was yum. Wish soy sauce was an option for steamed rice but it was still tasty.We look forward to going back soon and will be sure to ask for the best waitress named Mookie ...Dietary restrictions: Due to dietary restrictions some food was swapped out with no problem and the food was all still delicious.
Came here for the first time June 26 2022 and it was amazing! I loved the chowder bread bowl and the Shrimp! We also tried some of there drinks and my Favorite was the Jalapeño Mango Margarita! 5 Stars! Highly Recommend!
As the title says, first visit to Bubba Gump with the wife. Really good food. There was a wait for a table which is to be expected, the pier was rammed full of people. Waitress brought us the menus and talked through the drinks (some drinks you get a free cup/collectable). Food was delicious. I had Forrests seafood feast and a feast it was! My wife had the shrimp po boy which she thought would be a sandwich but turned out to be a massive baguette with chips. We also ordered a side of onion rings which were delicious and a generous size. The food was really really good, I had an iced tea which was really tasty too. Would recommend, the wait wasn't a problem as you just leave and come back, the service was speedy enough once you are sat down
Nice location. Waitress did great job with serving our large family. Food was okay. Nothing to rave about. Still had a good experience. Don’t go there if you are in a hurry.
We visted bubba gumps on our first day after booking a table. We approached the host and they sighed asked us to put our telephone number in and said we’ll message you when your table is ready. 10 minutes later we are buzzed bare in mind that we were stood outside and noone had left. We walked in and there were tons of free tables. I get that everyone has bad days but the host was incredibly rude. The food was excellent however i did feel sorry for our waiter as their tshirt had holes in it and should really be replaced however i imagine wages arent great.
We reached there at 6 and was told that we have to wait for 15 - 20 minutes which were fine. As we are not local, I wasn’t sure if I have received any sms, we went back at 6:20 and asked if our number was called. The staff was not friendly and said that we have to wait for 30min. I asked him was it another 30 min or another 10min. He said 30. I expressed my shock and told him, that was not mentioned to me that we would have to wait for 50min. After which he said, it’s ok, u can go in now. ?The restaurant wasn’t full. And he changed his mind really quick.We were shown the table and was not served til much late. Our food also came real slow. Our chiller came without straws. (This is not a straw less restaurant as I saw water being served with straws). When making payment, again I have to wait for ages before the server took my card. The amount charged was a dollar more then what I have indicated. I didn’t pursue as I didn’t wanna wait anymore.Food wasn’t fantastic and service was worst. Won’t be back here.
