If I ever needed a stiff, balanced, delicious drink in a classy 1920 themed bar. This is it! Period.Bourbon & Branch doesn't disappoint.
What an amazing ambience. The drink variety is limited and is a little expensive but that's expected. The hayfever drink was delicious but I would have liked it to be stronger. Next time I'll come with a reservation since I've heard it provides for a more romantic and personalized experience.
This bar is an awesome hidden prohibition era speak easy esque bar, it's quite hard to find, look out for the Anti-saloon league advertising board and then the non descript wooden door underneath. Entry is strictly via booking only and you need to give it name and the 'secret code-word'. Inside it's a very dark bar with a no mobile or photography policy which is refreshingly very nice. The drinks menu is great they serve some lovely cocktails and very thorough extensive list of bourbons and single malts. They play music fitting with what I would imagine the prohibition era would play and staff are dressed in 'peaky blinders' style clothing. When you have had a few nice drinks in here, pop next door to their sister bar 'The library' which is more casual and no bookings required. Both were very nice experiences. I would visit here again and recommend it to friends and family
Superb selection of drinks and general vibe. Wish we could sit at the bar and/or talk to the bartenders. Our server was still learning but was quick to bring in the experts to answer questions. There’s a hard cap on your 90 minutes seating but they just shuffle you to the Library Room so you can finish your drink.
A friend in the area brought me here. I'm staying around the corner and would've never come otherwise. Super cool vibe. Dimly lit, bookcases and candles everywhere
Loved the ambiance and decor in the bar!! We each tried two drinks and our service was super friendly and answered all of our questions for us. I think there was another part to the bar but we didn't get to see all of it, so that was a little bit of a bummer. Otherwise the night was awesome.
Drinks of the highest quality. Some expectations- this is a speakeasy, so the entrance may be hard to find. Once you’re in, they expect you to “speak easy” (don’t be too loud). This allowed for some nice conversation. Their drinks take a while to make, but they are so worth it. I plan to return to try more drinks on the menu.
Something’s never change, like perhaps the drinks menu here. I can’t complain, they have some popular hits, but it’s a familiar experience every time. I wish they’d offer small bites with the drinks.
Unique experience right from getting the password to leaving out a separate entrance. When we arrived at the unmarked door we were greeted by a gent in period garb who whispered to us to follow him inside. Perused the extensive menu and tried a few different libations each. Romantic and fun night out. Helped to facilitate the date night atmosphere as no photos allowed so our phones stayed in our pocket. Only downside and it is a minor one- was that is was hard to read the menu with it being a dimly lit venue. Highly recommend this experience at least once but with the breadth of the drink list it would be great to return several times!
Such a cool environment and the drinks are genuinely some of the best I've ever had. The "Library" portion is the more general admission area but reservations are required for the sitting room. Speakeasy vibe with an inconspicuous entrance and required password to get in. Very dark aesthetic inside in the sitting room and it phones are highly discouraged which is nice to just disconnect and talk over drinks. Lots of different styles of drinks and all of them are extremely well done.
