Easily one of our favorite restaurants in the country. Everything about a meal here is special
Great waiter
underwhelming scallop dish with flavorless truffles. excellent filet, and excellent strawberry chou box dessert
New refurbished, excellent food, art deco interior, lot of ambiance! Romantic.
Lovely meal - itâs changed to a set menu to choose 3 courses from for $98 per person. Was lovely and delicious and service spot on as always.
Exceptionally delicious food with beautiful presentation. We actually enjoyed the pivot to a prix fixe menu. Service was impeccable. Will definitely come back.
What a wonderful experience from start to finish. Every bite was incredibly delicious and the service was impeccable. First we were served a little extra starter of veggie spread with 2 potato chips, 2 endives & 2 cucumber slices. For our appetizers we had the Hamachi crudo and the heirloom tomato with burrata. Our mains were the salmon and the halibut. Everything served along with the main courses supported and enhanced the fish. For dessert we had the affogato (evidently new on the menu) and the strawberry concoction. We shared each plate and also a fantastic Pinot Noir that had been suggested by our server. A perfect place to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion. Not too loud when going relatively early (6pm) and sitting closer to the front against the window wall.
Our 8:30 pm reservation was a mistake. We were not seated until 9:10 and then the service effort level was already winding down. We did our best to keep our waiter doing his job. We ended up trying to finish our meal while the tables were being set for tomorrow.
It was a 10/10 eveningâ-Always an incredible experience.
Nancy Oakes's flagship restaurant continues to delight and never disappoints. We were quite pleased with the current prix fixe menu format that offered enough choices to please everyone's tastes. And the most recent decor enhancements added the perfect ambience. May she and her staff continue from strength to strength.
