Nice place if you like sour dough moves with soups - good atmosphere

Clam Chowder in a freshly baked crusty bread !

The Bread was fresh and tasted great. I had the beef dip on sour dough bread, with a cup of clam chowder. The chowder could have been cooked a little longer, but still tasty.

Great selection! Taste fantastic. Get there early bigger selection.

We had our breakfast there, many good options. We took 2 different sandwiches, one with avocado and one Italian, really fresh and tasty. Not cheap, but worth it.

Absolutely wonderful from the food to the service! Do not pass this place up! The bread alone is to die for.

We ordered the Dungeness Crab for two and determinedly tried to eat it all. There was pile of crab legs cooked in garlic butter. Be prepared to get your hands into the eating and don't forget to put on your paper bib. The crab legs only come served with sourdough bread but, frankly, you don't need anything more. Be sure to use the bread to sop up some of the juice in the bottom of the crab platter. Soooo good.

I went here to experience San Francisco sour dough at it's finest and was not disappointed with a bread bowl of calm chowder. When in San Fran add this to your list of stops.

Bakery is really good. When you enter you first notice the different shapes and sizes of breads. The breads taste and look really cool. Ordered the tomato soup kind of and it was good. Plan for time as place will be busy.

I've been in San Francisco for a few days now (just visiting) and my biggest takeaway is that everything is overpriced. So, it was great to find a place that was actually affordable AND delicious. My group tried the Clam Chowder Bread Bowl and a French Dip. Both were absolutely delicious. We were able to actually get a meal here without having to check our bank accounts first, which was also a plus. But seriously, I would say this was probably the best value of any food we have had while here.
