The food was just ok. Biggest complaint, the metal wire chairs are pretty but so uncomfortable. I ordered the Margherita pizza w/added mushrooms and fried brussels sprouts. The sprouts turned out to be the standout of all dishes ordered. Calamari was over cooked and dry. The sausage and mushroom pizza was soggy. Rigatoni was ok and the eggplant parmeasan was good. I should have stuck with the Lasagna since it was the recommended dish. Live and learn. Oh yes, the bread was delish.
Deeeelish. Do yourself a favor and eat here. Al dente, perfect texture pasta, good portion sizes.Booked marked as one of my favs.
My best dining experience in SF! Amazing food and service. Delicious coffee with a lovely atmosphere. You can even mix and match different pastas and sauces for whatever combination you like most, which is not available at other Italian restaurants.Definitely eat here if you’re in the area!
The place overall is nice, the server or manager were very friendly. The food was good, the pizza was delicious to be honest and we liked our appetizer. However I have minor feedback. The focaccia can be better, the one I’ve got today was cold and it didn’t seem to be fresh (the texture) and just a nice to have: some olive oil with balsamic ??????But good experience overall ?
Well-crafted authentic Italian food with a great atmosphere. An appetizer, two entrees, a bottle of wine, dessert, and two espressos was reasonably priced ($60 for the wine, $70 for everything else, tax and tip on top). The staff suggested a delicious wine pairing. They were attentive but not intrusive. I can't wait to go back. Presentation wasn't overly complicated, the food was the top priority. We cleaned our plates. This newly-opened gem is well worth a visit. When the check arrived, we got a lovely chuckle at some of the free add ons (see pic with "thanks for coming" and "buon appetito.") I'd like to see this place do well so I can visit more.Note, they don't currently take reservations.
Very friendly staff, and beautiful airy ambiance and decor. Both pizzas I’ve tried have been delicious, the crust is chewy and crisp perfection. Fair pricing, would definitely recommend and visit again!
Dined here for the first time and tried the gnocchi with the pesto sauce which was so delicious. Also ordered a salsiccia pizza which was very delicious although we were full from the pasta. The food was made fresh which was obvious in the quality but also in the time it took to get our order. Definitely worth the wait!
I’ve been to Bottega a couple of times since they opened and the experience both times was very good. That I’m terms of the service, the food, and the overall atmosphere.
Great menu of Roman Italian food. The fried carciofi is amazing and the variety of pasta and sauce choices was very deep. The service is very friendly and efficient. Looking forward to seeing how the menu will modify based on seasonal produce.
Great vibe, delicious pasta, and friendly staff. Here’s our pasta playlist we highly recommend:- focaccia — addictive- fried artichokes — decadent- meatballs — tender- ravioli — decadent- mille cake — not the highlight of the night. Wish we got the moose.
