Amazing filet mignon, baked potato, salads, cocktails and desserts. A must go to in San Francisco. Truly a unique and fun dining experience!
Had high expectations since I've wanted to try this place for years and was underwhelmed. Ordered bread as appetizer and 4 sides that were fine. However, we went with our server's steak recommendations served family style for party of six hungry guys. The main steak was their special 49ers Porterhouse (49 oz.) for $175 (which is both a New York cut and Filet) but very disappointed in cooked portion size and uneven doneness. We also got the super bone in 22oz filet for $95 and 22 oz prime ribeye for $85 which were both better but just average steaks. I think a big reason for disappointment is that 49ers steak weight includes a very large bone and probably shrunk a lot after cooking. At the end of the meal, we ended up spending an average of $90 per person with me the only person who ordered a drink... and we weren't full. In hindsight we should have ordered individually and just chosen their more reasonably priced regular 16oz New York or Ribeye steaks in the $53-63 range. To top off our evening, we decided to skip their desserts and seek out something more satisfying and less pricey over on nearby Union Street. All I can say is that I've now tried Bobo's and likely won't have to go back. There are better tasting high end steaks for these prices at other places I've been.
Really good, my daughter was super grateful for the service. Thank you so much!!!
Sorry. I canât recommend Bobos. Two of the three steaks we ordered were extremely undercooked and had to be re-fired. They returned exactly the same and our other guest was already finished. Just cancelled them. First course was great. Steaks were not. Sides were just ok. Crab (out of season) was just ok as well
One thing to remember is the main entrées come ala carte. Therefore if you want more you should order a side dish which can be shared.
We are huge Jose fans! Great evening, as usual.
Edgar was our waiter and was exceptional! The food was wonderful and we will go again!
Great music, excellent service, drinks were amazing. Hidden gem.
I took my parents here for dinner when they were in town because they are not the most adventurous eaters, but still like nice meals. José was an excellent server and all of the support staff were gracious, kind, and efficient. Steak was cooked perfectly. Well-seasoned. The baked potato is huge, cheesy, and a great complement to the steak. All the desserts are classic and delicious. We will be back!
Very nice experience. Food service ambiance. Only complaint was that they should close the front door curtains so that it is less breezy (cool) in the bar and upper dining area.
