5 star experience tonight. Food was delicious (salmon and meatloaf entrees). Staff was friendly and attentive. 80s music playing during dinner added to the ambiance, I wanted to stay and listen! Would highly recommend if your in the area!!
Can I please live here? Everything is perfect - the entire menu (I go family style so I can enjoy fried chicken and every other entree and save room for dessert but good luck choosing as they are all divine) the garden patio, the heat lamps, and best of all the humans that welcome me and feed me like I was family. A true gem in my neighborhood and worth a drive across town.
The service was … interesting. But the food, wow. We ordered the deviled eggs, charred octopus, meatloaf, steak, pudding and key lime pie. All of the courses were the best kind of homemade cooking you could imagine. I am definitely going back!
I took myself out on a solo date to this place on recommendation from a friend. I had a glass of Pinot, and ordered the fried chicken & mashed potatoes. I could tell you about the garlic mashed potatoes, and how they hit the flavor profile that I wanted to accompany this meal. I could tell you I was pleasantly surprised to see (RIPE) strawberries in the salad that came with the chicken. But, as the plate rested under my nose the smell of well spiced fried chicken began marching up my nostrils, calling me, I was compelled to heed it's call.My expectations for this fried chicken were mild, but this is some of the best fried chicken I've had from the bay area. With a perfect amount of cayenne and paprika in each bite, the chicken retained it's moisture beautifully, and I had to damn near fight myself not to burn my mouth and devour the chicken rabidly, and rapidly.All in all, I'll be back with more friends for more chicken ? ?

Eat here once and you’re coming back. Eat here twice and you’re family. Best atmosphere in SF, incredible interesting wine list, service that is knowledgeable AND fun/grounded/ entertaining and the food, my god the food! This place just celebrated 23 years in business, they deserve
Enjoyed a great dinner last night at Blue Plate, before attending a show at the Magic Patio! We ordered the meat loaf, fried chicken, salmon and risotto. Everything tasted amazing. The service was great too! Can't wait to come back again!
Booked the outdoor patio to have dinner for our anniversary celebration. Highly recommended during cooler days/nights.Food was delicious! We shared 3 appetizers and mains among 4 people. It was sufficient and decently priced.We especially liked the truffle gnocchi, octopus and fried chicken.Would come back!
Hit up the Blue Plate for the first time a few weekends ago and it hit the spot. Started with the black truffle gnocchi appetizers, onto the fried chicken plate with a side of macaroni and cheese, and topped it off with key lime pie and a brownie sundae. Amazing service and the food was tasty. Looking forward to a return visit. If you're in the neighborhood stop by, call ahead or make a trip there for the experience
Delicious and delightful. The backyard welcomes you like you’re attending dinner at a good friend’s house, and the staff treats you the same. The fried chicken is the top of my list, with a side of the best cherry limeade ever. Complement the food with the kindness of Shannon and team, and I’ll be back many times again.
