Possibly the best wonton noodles in the US. Vancouver still takes the cake for best outside of HK but this is close. Springy noodles, great soup and wontons that resemble the real thing in HK. Haven’t been able to find this anywhere - not LA, NYC, or SF - until now! The beef tendon and curry fish balls were stellar too. Love this place!

This place is exceptional and authentic - we had the noodles combined with beef brisket, tendons and wontons. Everything was top of class, and I'm comparing them against the best restaurants in Hong Kong. It's the best Chinese restaurant experience I've had in SF and Bay Area - it's not a overstatement to say it's been a true privilege to experience the food here.

Beyond Cafe has decent cart style noodles. I do love the variety of their menu. You can take your pick on the broth type, the noodles type, thin or thick, toppings or go with the popular dishes. We picked the popular dishes, braised beef brisket thick noodle $15 (with the option to pick just the tendons) Szechuan spicy brisket noodles $14, curry beef brisket rice $16.50, tender greens with oyster sauce $14, soy sauce wings $11 and some HK style milk teas $4.50. Out of all the dishes, I enjoyed the curry beef brisket rice the most. They are not fancy or best tasting in the bay area for these types of dishes. Beyond Cafe excels at the different options available. Service was excellent. Good job staff at Beyond Cafe.

Went at 11:45am as a single, only 2 other tables occupied. Took the staff 10 minutes to come to my table to take my order (I had to wave over the young lady who did not anticipate my needs.) Ordered HK Wonton noodles with additional beef brisket and tendon. No mention about price at that time. First drink came out in 5 minutes, then noodles came out 7 minutes later.I like my noodles and soup piping hot, but this was served warm. Did not need to blow on the noodles to cool them or risk burning tongue. Beef brisket was OK with hints of star anise and visible bits of dried mandarin peel, tendon was soft and delectable. Wontons were made with 1cm pieces of coarsely cubed pork, not ground pork, so leaner than most others with considerable texture, but lacking bold flavor. Cold milk tea was not too sweet, just delicious.Total was $24.98 for noodles and milk tea without tip. No audible thank you, expression of appreciation, or “please come again!” upon payment and tip. It’s like I didn’t exist. I really wanted to like this place after reading the reviews, but the service was just 2/5 and the their house noodle soup was merely ordinary.

The food is very tasty, service is friendly and fast, and the overall atmosphere reminds me of Hong Kong. One of the best Hong Kong cafes in San Francisco!

A small menu with big flavors, this unique restaurant is sure to fill you up!

Good bang for your buck! Decent portion sizes.Had the fried garlic chicken lollipop ?. This is the dish that I'd come back for! I have yet to try the honey sesame version of this. Definitely getting that the next time I'm here.Had the Laksa Noodles which I didn't expect much of an experience, but I was pleasantly surprised by the portion and taste! As someone who loves and makes laksa from scratch the Singaporean/Malaysian way. This was close but there were some missing elements to the taste. Then again I don't hold it against them since they are a HK style restaurant and it wasn't promoted/listed on the menu as Laksa of that style.Gave the head waiter a big fat tip for being patient and polite with us. We were the last customers and stayed 15mins after closing. There's definitely room for improvement when it comes to this restaurant's atmosphere, taste, and food presentation.TLDRGood causal dinning that will leave you feeling satisfied. Get the fried chicken!

No good

We drove 380 miles to try this place (also for a wedding), LOL. The food was good and cheap, not cheap in quality, but cheap as in $$. Ample street metered parking all around. Authentic HK food and taste. The wonton noodles, the honey/garlic or honey/ginger chicken "lollipops" and the pork belly buns were my favs. Everything else was simple HK dishes and favorites done well.

Authentic Hong Kong taste! Ordered wonton noodle & brisket rice noodle and both are very good.
