Food was good - but overpriced.
The evening started off promising with the host and staff in wonderful wear. They served spiced warm olives then the evening took a nose dive. The show was amateurish at best and the food had no flavor and wasnât good at all. They asked if we were celebrating during the reservation process and then proceeded to charge $20 for a sparkler and undrinkable shot of gasoline. I would not have said that we were celebrating if I was going to be charged and I find it rude to charge if you give me the impression that it is complimentary. Iâm shocked that this place had good reviews. Perhaps the regular restaurant side of things is a better experience but this was a total dud. For acrobatics go to Fugazi. For delicious Morocco food: Aisha. This place was more than a disappointment.
Highly recommend!!! Thank you for such a memorable dining experience! All the staff was amazing, so friendly and attentive. The food was incredible and we wish we ordered more for leftovers! We'll be back!
We messaged the restaurant ahead of time to ensure that there was a show on the evening we were going and we were assured there would be a show. We also let them know we had one pescatarian. When we arrived, they said the show was cancelled a few days ago and they didn’t notify anyone who had a reservation. They did give us complimentary cocktails, which was nice, but we had specifically reached out confirming the show for a special evening, so it was pretty disappointing to not have any notice given. They didn’t even mention it at the door. I had to ask our waiter after we sat down. The couple next to us was celebrating a birthday and was similarly disappointed as they had also confirmed the show beforehand.Beyond this, the food varied a lot by dish. They had no note of our pescatarian request so we had to remind them. We did the 4 course $75 tasting menu and enjoyed 2.5 of the courses. Dips + soup appetizer was great! Next up, a salad and Brussels sprouts: the salad was just lettuce, grapefruit, and overripe avocado. Our fish entree was great, the kebabs were decent. The couscous side was amazing! Finally, dessert was a big letdown. A very very dry baklava that tasted like crushed peanuts. The presentation was nice and cocktails were great.Service was good/attentive; however, around 8:45 (our reservation was 7:30) they began to turn on the lights and clean up. I understand only 5 tables were left eating but the restaurant doesn’t close until 10. By 9 the lights were fully on and music turned down, so we felt pretty pressured to wrap up and head out.Overall a tough showing, I was really looking forward to my experience but unfortunately Berber missed the mark in quite a few ways.
We came for a special occasion and we were looking forward to the after dinner show later in the evening. There wasnât an empty seat. After having our first course and some wine, we were surprised to hear the 7 gentlemen beating ethnic drums and a very beautiful costumed woman dancing throughout the restaurant. Five stars! The after dinner show and dancing, complete with exotic cocktails was over the top!
We had a great time at Berber celebrating our wedding anniversary watching the Twilight Show in the back room with live performers. The food was exceptional and the ambience was a treat. It's pricey, however overall we felt it was worth it and definitely an experience to remember. We enjoyed chatting with Tony, the owner, who is a delightful, friendly person.
OMG - definitely do the prix fixe show in the back room! Heather the MC rules the room. The acrobats and belly dancers bring you into their world. The food was excellent! We will be back!

Lackluster service
It was our first time there. It didn't start very well. On the reservation It said to be on time at 5:30 and they had a 5 minute grace period. We were there early, at 5:15. Had to leave the house an hour in advance, because was worried about traffic. Came at 5:15-the doors are locked! By 5:25 there was a huge line. The doors are locked! They opened the doors at 5:30...and started setting up the outside furniture! They finally let us in at 5:55!!! What kind of service is this?! I was appaled, because we had to use the restroom and they were letting anyone in. What was the point to write that check-in info about being on time when YOU were holding people outside for 25 minutes? The food was pretty good and the service was very nice. The performers shouldn't really perform. Sorry. Waste of money.
