Holy toledo was this place GREAT! Amazing pastas and pizzas - the textures were absolutely perfect - and some of the best meatballs I've ever had. I will be back soon enough - there are too many other things I want to try! This place is fantastic for a weeknight dinner with friends or a cute date - can't wait to return!

Italian food in the Mission done right.I’ve tried the spaghetti and meatballs, the strozapretti pesto, and the bucatini all’amatriciana and they were all fantastic pastas made by someone who understands cooking. The desserts are great. The beer selection could include a lager, but at the same time the single position makes it simple.Love the ambience — with the solid food it’s a full package for an evening with Italian food.

This restaurant is incredible. A never ending sea of fresh, warm garlic knots and gargantuan pasta bowls large enough to feed your family and your neighbor's family too. They go out of their way to accommodate their customers, and I cannot speak highly enough to the quality of their food! They even helped me find something and made sure it got back to me. We will be returning back in the near future!

To start with, they did not have bread. The menu is very limited. The risotto was sour and they only have vanilla gelato. The place is super loud! I went because Resy rates it 4.5. Unbelievable

I went to BarZotto based on a colleage recommedation. They said it was a more affordable spot on par with Penny Roma/Flour&Water which I love. BarZotto is difficult to review because my experience with the food (pretty decent) and service (really really amazing) was trumped by the fact that someone told me, after spending over $100 as a party of one, continuing to order, and contemplating buying a bottle of wine, that I had to leave a bar seat because of a time limit. That was not only embarassing but as a new local, exploring places to find my spots, completely off-putting. I won't be returning and will continue to spend more at places that don't value profit over community so overtly. It's a shame because my server was an absolutely amazing human. Thank you to him.

A really great spot with an excellent vibe.Probably the best restaurant service I've ever had.The market salad was flavorful and extremely fresh, the pasta was a classic but tasted unique at the same time. The dessert was a surprise hit, and probably the top three desserts I've ever had.I've been wanting to go since seeing it on BuzzFeed's worth it, I finally got the opportunity to go to San Francisco and check out this restaurant, definitely an excellent experience.

Small place with cute decorations and laid back feeling. Amazing short menu which had good options for small plates. Tried Mozzarella toast which was amazing and is worth a try. Strozzapretti was good but a little too creamy for me. Bucatini was very tasty. Both the pastas and mozzarella cheese tasted very fresh. This place is worth another visit.

came here from worth it, and yes, it was worth it! The ambience was so nice and the bread, spaghetti, and mushroom on the chicken were so amazing.

Good restaurant but seems like their pre covid menu was much better. They no longer have the snail pasta that everyone raved about. Super bummed about that.

Delicious gluten free pasta, with the spaghetti sauce & meatballs. Everything was cooked, seasoned & heated to perfection. Beautiful ambiance/decor, attentive service, and an overall great experience. Would recommend. Only giving 4 stars because the portions were a little small. We went later (8:30pm) on a weekday night, so there wasn’t a wait for 2 people.
