A cozy Vietnamese option in Bernal Heights serving up a nice mix of noodle soups, bun and rare-find appetizers (i.e. banh khot — little shrimp pancakes) Very friendly service. The bun bo hue broth could have been a bit deeper in flavor. The noodles slightly over cooked. But overall tasty. The spring rolls were light and crispy, served with lettuce wraps.
So, I am celiac and vegan. The amazing server did tell me that bc of cross contamination, I could not safely eat anything. However, my friends were able to enjoy the food. Even though I couldn't have anything, I am so grateful to our server for being educated enough to save me from getting sick.
Great local spot for Viet food! Finally, a good pho place near so I don't have to travel further. Been on my radar to try and glad I did!Friendly attentive staff and quick service. Super chill casual spot to catch up with a friend! The pho bowl was huge and super satisfying. Loved the fry on the vegetarian egg rolls too.
So good. Super friendly. Nice beers. Phenomenal food. Everything we got was delicious and varied. Love it!
Not the best vegetarian options but there were a good number of them. The crispy egg noodles with veggies was very good. The vegetarian mini pancakes were a bit bland. The curry with rice was good but could've used more flavour. Tofu was extremely soft which I liked.
The prices at Bac Lieu went up. The food is still good though. I had the five spice chicken garlic noodles $15 + fried egg $1.75. It used to be $12. They charge $1 for hot tea. The chicken was a little dry around the edges but they did provide a little bowl of fish sauce. The food came out quick and service is excellent as usual. My total was $23 with tax and tip.
Very good ?mi seafood soup was delicious ????my order of vegetarian egg rolls ?
The carpaccio salad, the shrimp salad rolls, the Green papaya salad, the shrimp curry, the crispy crepe, the grilled chicken with rice noodles…. OMG. I have been to Vietnam a few times, and this is one of the best I had. and the servers were very friendly and helpful. GREAT experience ! 5 people , FULL dinner , appetizers and beer galore, under $140.
Good spot. I didn’t know we had quality Vietnamese in south mission! Good to know.
Great neighborhood spot. Had a few dishes here: spicy chicken rice, fried rolls, pho, bun. All have been above average for the Vietnamese food I’ve had in SF! Great flavor in the pho, meat is nicely grilled, and dishes come with a lot of herbs. Excited to try the curry noodle next.
