This cake was very rich and creamy. The cake was the perfect balance of sweetness to go with the dark chocolate. The mini macaroon shell was also cool, but it wasn't very crunchy like a normal shell. Other than that, a great dessert place

Waited in line here (there is a line even on weekdays all the way up until closing time) and ordered a chocolate banana croissant and a chocolate kouign-amann (their specialty). The chocolate banana croissant was definitely unique but it wasn’t exactly flaky — just very dense. Still delicious though! I’ve had better pastries in San Francisco.

A solid 4.5. The butteriest pastries there ever were - they literally ooze butter as you tear parts off. The chocolate banana croissant was banana bread on steroids: all the fragrance of butter, chocolate and banana, but with superior texture. I also loved that the chocolate wasn't too sweet.

I truly don't know how anyone could leave less than 5 stars. They must have had unusual circumstances. I don't know how to capture how amazing the pasteries here are. They're unlike any I've ever had, in the U.S. or France. Make sure to get the Kouign-amann if you only get one thing. It's like a croissant but wrapped into more of a bun shape and caramelized with sugar layered in. They have flavored ones, but a plain is magnificent. I also highly recommend the bostock. Very delicious. My uncle got a chocolate chip cookie that was the size of a salad plate and he said it was the best he's had. The lemon tart was standard, but delicious as well.

I call this place: heaven on earth. Patisseries in Paris are nothing in compare to this place. My favorites are Swiss pain, chocolate banana croissant and kouign-amann.But you have to hurry, they run out of the good ones by noon.

Even though we waited in line, the service, pastries, and coffee were worth it. The flavor profile of the croissant was especially divine. The only regret I have is not purchasing a sandwich as well.

Not only was the chocolate banana almond croissant absolutely delicious, and the black sesame coffee unusual and oh so good, but the person who helped us was delightful as well. Highly recommend. Also, don't be afraid of a line- in my experience it moves quickly!

Quick review: we visit SF often, we always stay near Chinatown so it's a good leg stretcher, the line is often long and although I never ever wait in line for anything in life I happily do for B. Patisserie. Sometimes I'm #40, sometimes #1. The quality and quantity is shockingly indescribable compared to cities small or large. I'd happily pay more, but B. Patisserie makes my wallet happy. We devour the box of treats at a nearby school playground (empty weekends, duh), and make the long walk back to Chinatown full and blissfully content. We always try to eat at new places each visit, but B. Patisseries is one of the few where we have to stand in line again and again.

Best bread in the SF in my opinion, and most of all, cheaper than any other equivalent (Vive la tarte, Thorough Bread, Jane,..).Because of its justified success everything will be sold out early afternoon, if not sooner.Pastries such as croissant are also excellent.Service is fast, organized, clean. There is no dedicated parking, but a few street parking on the blocks around.Lots of staff, very polite and efficient.I also ordered cakes there, same quality of the rest: excellent.I just wish they were open more often, with more locations around SF, more stock and maybe a chocolate croissant?

Amazing pastries, excellent service, well organized. Staff are passionate about their products. A delight to visit and worth the wait in line.
