Lovely ambiance, great service, excellent cocktails and food!

We love the outdoor parklet and the mushroom sauce pasta and pot au creme. Our server Martine was superb. He was efficient, pleasant and so positive.

We have been several times and it has always been excellent across the board. Most recent was for leisurely lunch that didn't disappoint.

Great pre-show dining experience. Food was excellent and service was impeccable. Outdoor dining- very pleasant.

We elected to sit outside, where it was noisy. Our call, so cannot complain about that. Friends ate inside and have survived.

Absinthe is my go to place for a special occasion. My visits are always superior. Last night, there was a diner seated a few tables who was exceedingly loud in her conversation. That was not pleasant. My order was not as I had ordered despite the waiter making note of it (the kitchen must have goofed). Nevertheless the waiter, David, was super apologetic and fixed the issue immediately. He was great!

The food was good and the cocktails were decent. The overall experience was ho-hum. I would really give it 3.5 stars. I don't understand "nice" restaurants that give you menus that are stained and overused and how for a noted "birthday dinner" you are seated by the exit door and not even a candle is added to the dessert. Everything from the creativity of the menu, to the worn cafeteria-style plates, to the stained and worn menus, was just underwhelming and seemed a bit tired.

We were a large table trying to have dinner prior to a show at SF Jazz. The waiter was prompt and was able to get us in and out in record time. Perfect!

Two glasses of wine, two burgers, one soup, and one dessert was more than $125. That is pretty pricey in my book. Every few minutes there was really loud horns and people in traffic honking. I definitely suggest indoors instead.

Beautiful food and service. Very happy with the evening we had.
