The quality of the food has gone down. Did not cook 2 steaks properly and the seabags with the rice was disappointing. The calamari was a bit soggy.

Food was excellent. Server was knowledgeable. Staff offered to pack our leftovers but did not pack about 3 ounces of our Chilean sea bass and our remaining bread. Very disappointing.
Ordered the lobster bisque and Calamari. Could not eat either one past the first few bites. Calamari wasnât fresh at all, lobster bisque recipe was way off. Seabass was the only thing we ordered and ate.

Great wine list. Seafood selections that are not typically available elsewhere. Service was very good. Food was subpar. Wedge salad had way too much dressing and seared Ahi Tunu entree had a tough texture and very little taste. Baked Alaska was very good and partly redeemed the meal.

I am a regular and have been for almost 20 years. I never have to worry if the server is âup to speedâ. They all are! The food is consistently awesome with a great presentation. My only regret is the reduction of the menu. One of my favorites was swordfishponchatrane that did not make the cut, what a loss. Nevertheless, it is my favorite restaurant in San Diego and I will continue to be a regular as long as the restaurant is here
My husband and I dined at Truluckâs for our 10 year anniversary. First time we had been there and it did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was fantastic. Started off with oysters on the half shell and jumbo crab claws. The crab claws were amazing? I had the Chilean sea bass with crab fried rice and cucumber slaw and my husband ordered the ribeye Oscar style. Our entrees were to die for! Peter was a wonderful server and provided great details on the menu. Next time we are in La Jolla that will be our go to date night. We sat on the patio next to the fire pit, made for a romantic evening, plus the staff decorated our table with rose petals and a nice card. Thanks for a wonderful evening, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
