The venue and ambience was beautiful. Half of our party thought the food was great and the other half thought itâs was mediocre. The service was extremely slow and it was a Monday even and not crowded at all. Quite a few times we had to have someone track down our server so we could order our food and additional drinks. Server was pleasant though and helpful with suggestions when asked.

My birthday
This is a nice Italian restaurant. They keep it simple. The staff is super nice and attentive. Food is authentic Sicilian. Garlic bread is a half loaf of rustic bread with deeply garlic flavor. Ask for more parm and sprinkle that one. Yum!
Fun atmosphere! Perfect for family celebration - great drinks that can be made as âmocktails.â Food was delicious and our waiter was the best!
Old Town San Diego has two restaurants that are not Mexican style. We chose Don Pietro and we are glad we did! Vito, our server, is fabulous! The sidewalk dining experience was actually intimate. And the food? Sublime! Try the stuffed chicken breast served with couscous. Wow! We will make it a point to return the next time that we find ourselves in San Diego!
