Price is one of the cheapest in this area. But there's reason for it.Firstly, no signal of AT&T and only one quarter pf signal of TMobile; sometimes i just wonder if anyone was hurt and needed to call 911 immediately will they be able to go outside the estate and make it.Secondly, the leasing office's efficiency is disappointing. I had at least notified the ofdice for three times, they always say they'll contact AT&T and reach back to see what's the problem. But I have never received anything so far, and this is my 8th month here. Also, the cues in the lounge was broken, and I had notified leasing office with 3-4 emails, nothing changed. Some drunks just poke the cues everywhere--you can even see some blue spots on the ceiling.Thirdly, the Amazon Hub was weird--there are always a lot of flies flying around there. The gym was not bad. It was high tech and woth great trainers. But don't expect a nice Wi-Fi connection or any signals there, the same applies to the lounge.Neighbors... I myself sleep quite late and shout, but I never do that after 11. The one lived above me make heavy noises on the floor all the time--so loud that once earthquake the first thought came to my head was what were the ones above us doing. The ones across us shouts everyday day and night. If you can accept no cell phone or bare cell phone life, and is tolerant to noises, together with a kind of lazy office, everything is nice. View is nice, swimming pool is nice, location is pretty good, maintainence service is always on time and nice. But if you are a student with certain budget and wanting to find somewhere easy to go to school and you don't have a car, I really don't advise you coming here.Yeah, one more thing, planes often goes around here, sometimes you can't even here what your roommate saying when the cargo plane or fighter flew by. Also there's a railway near by and that is GREAT for waking you up at night. Dogs are sometimes noisy but not so often, and neighbors are mostly friendly though.

Here's the thing. We enjoyed most of our three years at Torrey Gardens. The maintenance staff is incredibly helpful and very prompt in completing repairs. The leasing staff was friendly and helpful as well. But there are a number of reasons that our time at this apartment is ending this week. We're moving out because we were sent an exorbitant rent increase this year. We were notified at the end of our current lease that our rent was being raised by 10%, even though maximum rent hike was 9.1% in San Diego for 2021. We made them aware of it and they replied saying it was simply a clerical error. They sent us a new number that was still above the max rent hike telling us that market value was way higher and they were really just helping us out.A lot of the tenants are college students and young kids sharing accommodations. They don't seem to have much respect for late night noise restrictions or pool rules. We lived above the pool area and there are always people hanging out past hours making noise and drinking (with glass bottles in the pool area). Music blares from apartments past midnight. At no point did their security give any repercussions for any of this. Our exit gate was broken for a couple of weeks lately and not much was done about it. Constant hot water shutoffs in our building.Ultimately, there are too many bad things that outweigh the good with this apartment. For a place that touts itself as a "luxury" apartment that charges pretty high rents, it really doesn't follow through on that. They don't seem to have much interest in keeping long term tenants because they can make more money with turnover.Renters beware!

We’ve lived here for 3 years and it has been a quiet and comfortable stay. There have been hardly any issues, just the routine maintenance that is always reliable and hassle-free. Cesar Hernandez is one of maintenance guys whomcome and promptly address any of our needs. Always polite and friendly, he’s not just a someone performing a service but a true neighbor who cares for everyone who lives there.

Maintenance staff here is great especially Cesar who i’ve gotten to know as he is usually the one to call me when i have an issue and he always makes an effort to come fix it asap.

Torrey Gardens is truly a wonderful property with modern units, very helpful staff, top notch and consistent maintenance, and great amenities! Only a couple downsides, one is the air conditioner is pretty loud in the unit so that can get annoying but it’s not a dealbreaker in my opinion. Another is the building elevators are probably the slowest you’ll ever encounter especially during busy hours. Overall though a great property and those downsides are not dealbreakers.I’ve been here 5.5yrs so far and I definitely love to call this place home. The property is located in a beautiful area with close access to the 5 freeway, and within 10-15 mins from popular hang out spots like LaJolla, UTC, Del Mar highlands and One Paseo!Torrey Gardens management also makes sure to stay relevant and up to date with the latest upgrades to the units! Recently got a free fan replacement to a newer modern one. Also got Skybell doorbells installed to check in on visitors and movement in front of your unit! The High Voltage gym is THE BEST! Chris H and Randy Shelton who manage the gym do a really great job ensuring we have a good experience every time I use it. The cleaning staff regularly keeps the gym maintained and orderly. High voltage also has Personal Trainers who offer their services at this location which was an amazing experience! I completely changed my outlook on diet and healthy lifestyle from their trainers! The maintenance team at Torrey Gardens is incredibly prompt in the response every single time I’ve put in a request. If you’d like to schedule an appointment, they call you the next day to schedule a time and so far they have been punctual on their arrival every single time. The work they do is to perfection and if anything is not right, they will make sure to rectify until it’s been taken care of! Special shout-out to Cesar Hernandez on the maintenance team, he is incredibly friendly, always makes you smile, has fun conversations while he works and will always make sure you are taken care of! His work ethic is fantastic, he’s also very punctual on his timing, and will ensure all is fixed as it should be without cutting corners. He enjoys what he does and truly is dedicated to making sure the residents are taken care of! So if anything goes wrong in your unit, you can trust Cesar and the team will be there for ya! Great work guys!Overall I love Torrey Gardens! I wholeheartedly recommend anyone looking for a place in SD to choose Torrey Gardens. Ive had a fantastic experience, my friends and family love visiting and has made living in SD very much enjoyable so far! Thanks to everyone at Torrey Gardens for making this a safe place I can call home!

On the first day we checked in, our cat was stucked in a whole between two cabinets due to over reacting to new environment. We called the maintanence and they came within 30 mins. They extracted one piece of the cabinet and our cat finally got out. I really appreciate their quick response and help! Thank you, Cesar Hernandes!

#5 on the gate entrance keypad has been broken for months. Why don't you fix it? How much does it cost? The elevator got broken twice within the past two months and it's making weird noises again; I bet it'll be out again soon. Stairs smell like dog urine & been like it for the past year. How hard it is to keep it clean? My floor smells like trash. Why don't you fix that?Dog s**** is everywhere. kids can get sick.Torrey Gardens can become a great place to live with minor changes. I waited for months to write this review hoping for a change, but it's only getting worse.I'll remove this review if the situation is improved.

Like a previous review, I agree this place could be great if small things were fixed. The pool and jacuzzi have been closed with no notice besides a paper sign on the gate, when I called I was told there’s no chlorine (?) and that there is no estimated time when it would be open again. Frustrated as a resident who chose this place for the amenities to not even be able to use them after COVID restrictions lifted and it doesn’t seem as though there’s a plan to address it.Like many others have said, the elevators are extremely slow and unreliable. The stairs would be a good alternative if they didn’t smell like trash/urine. To get in contact with the leasing office is way more effort than it should be, most of the time nobody answers the phone and it’s taken weeks to answer emails.

We love the community and all but we have had issue with the upstair neighbor non-stop pounding on our ceiling all day and of course the property management team does nothing to mitigate the issue. It’s real shame.

I've lived in many different apartments throughout my life and this apartment will definitely be one of my favorites, for sure. Especially maintenance (in particular Cesar Hernandez!) is AMAZING! I've had two issues since i've started living here (one an emergency, and the other not) and Cesar was quick to come, fix the issue within minutes, and was so respectful and easy to talk to. I know that I am in good hands and if anything goes wrong we will have someone knowledgeable to solve it right away!
