We had reserved outside and were told they were all booked. It was annoying since we had booked earlier in the day. The pear salad was amazing, the duck was pretty good. French onion soup was nothing to rave about for a French restaurant.

Cauliflower appetizer excellent; Spanish octopus disappointing. Main courses (salmon and pork chop) were great with large portions. Our server Daniel was attentive and helpful, even with a busy restaurant.

What a gem! The service was really outstanding, very attentive and friendly. Pacing was perfect and recommendations were all on point. All of the food was really, really great. Portions were were on the large side. We will definitely be back. Only drawback was parking, but that goes for the entire neighborhood.

The duck pate and cauliflower appetizers were fantastic. The proteins (fish, duck, pork) were very well executed. The salads under the proteins were good. The side veg, not so much. Bland, uninspired. I'd still go back again though and try more items.

Amazing food and wine! Loved the truffle fries, escargot, octopus and brie.

Excellent food and thoughtful service. We were very happy! We will be back.

The food was pretty good but the service was sub-par. There were only a handful of filled tables but our server still took 20 minutes to even come to our table with water. The server also said that we had to put all orders in at the same time (appetizer and entrees) so we couldn’t take our time and think about our meals much, which seemed odd. On top of that the server wasn’t very attentive to who ordered what which seemed unprofessional for the caliber of the restaurant but also for it just being a 2-top at a slow hour. The cherry on top was that he informed us the kitchen was closing early in a way that made it seem like we were being ushered out. It was around 8pm. Overall off putting and not worth the price tag.

We had a pleasant and good dinner! Typically speaking, San Diego it’s renowned for having a very poor service. Servers take a long time to take care of you, dirty plates can stay at the table for long periods of time, sometimes their attitude goes to show that they are making you a favor by serving you instead of treating you as the customer, and more often than not you need to be chasing them to ask for something. Well, in this case Darren was highly resourceful and with a great customer service attitude, which made our dinner a good experience. Being totally objective, the French onion soup typically has a strong flavor and the one that we had was on the lighter side. The swordfish, although it had a good taste, it was cold and undercooked. The steak was the best thing we tried. It was juicy, tasteful and cooked to perfection. Brie had a series of flavors that exploded in your mouth leaving a delicious aftertaste. The salad and wine were delicious too! Finally, we had a crème brí»lée that was so-so. At first, it was under cooked and then it was overcooked.

Busy evening and challenges with seating however everyone was gracious and apologetic when we were seated at 7:50 for a 7:30 reservation. Some hits & some misses! Duck was out of this world but pork chop was tough and rough to cut with a steak knife . Goat cheese cake not a hit but banana bread a hit so was the max and cheese! Dinner was close to $ 500 for five and I guess I expecting more for the $$ spent.
