I love a good dive bar and this does not miss with lots of TV's, pool and music. Service is a bit on the slow side as the bartenders seem to focus more on chatting behind the bar than serving. Other then that, it is a great dive bar in the La Jolla area which is hard to come by with surprisingly good food (good food not usually found at a dives). If the service was a little quicker, this would be my go to spot in La Jolla and get 5 stars.
I Love this place. Never had a bad experience until last time. I seated myself outside. The male service never said hi or even acknowledged my existence. I'm sure they are shorthanded like ever other place. It takes Zero effort to make eye contact or say I will be right with you. I'm gonna go back one more time before I have to not return anymore
We were headed to a local taco shop but this was a great find, very pleased with it. Had the Tuesday Shrimp Taco special, and the Mrs had the Spicy Chicken and tater tots, with a couple of $5 house Margaritas to top things off (very well mixed btw)!. Good food, great service, nice vibe, reasonable prices, and fur friend friendly! Oh, and a good game of pool to top off the evening.Next office lunch or dinner meeting for @ytfmarketing will be here when we’re in the area!
We visited on a cold windy (around) midnight, they put enough heater pole and fire for us sitting comfortably outside.We felt friendly atmosphere among the crowd even that they were definitely much younger than us.
Best tots ! Cooked perfectly plus just a fun place to hang out a play some pool after dinner.
On Sunday 03/20/2022 at 12:30 pm I had the Bourbon Glazed Bacon Burger for lunch. Only food I had eaten as I skipped breakfast. End result: throwing up multiple times now 6 hours later from food poisoning. I regret not heeding a previous post mentioning food poisoning. The health department needs to investigate the food handling at this place. Beware!
I used to love love there tortilla soup. I got it this time and it seems like covid might have affected Is the quality of the ingredients used. It was still delicious but it wasn't as as good as it was. Driving in LA traffic to get a bowl of tortilla soup just doesn't seem worth it anymore. But it's still delicious!!
The basil pesto chicken pizza was very bland and dry. Beer selection was sub par and only had one local beer on tap. The pretzel was fine, but was served with sticky, flavorless cheese instead of the housemade honey mustard that was advertised.
I love the daytime vibe here, great food and good drink selections. You can't beat the location and don't forget to try the tots.
Great burgers and friendly staff. Prompt service. Nice outdoor seating. Could use a better local beer selection.
