Food was fine! BUT we had a few drinks and ended up leaving without looking too closely at our receipt. Turns out our waitress added 6 extra drinks that we most definitely DID NOT order, drink or even see. As two girls from out of town, we physically couldn't drink that much along with what we actually had drank... Definitely got taken advantage of. ):
Base on 2 recent better experiences, I took down my bad pizza rating. It's not my type. But the spaghetti and especially the big meatballs are great 3 times in a row. Plus new menus and my favorite, house music instead of rock n roll.
With pizza being one of my favorite foods I’m sad I didn’t love this place. It was super bland with no flavor. The pizza tastes like it doesn’t have ANY sauces at all on it. Normally I go off of reviews and this was something I didn’t. We had a doordash order so maybe it tastes better if you eat it there
I have only tried the pizza, but it was so perfect. It was exactly what I wanted when I had a taste for pizza! Some days you just need a pizza!? Stop by for some pizza and drinks and invite a friend.
Unfortunately, the guy that was singing was a total snooze fest. He covered lots of popular songs, but with a sleepy vibe.The door man was nice, the bartender gal was dry and couldn't be bothered and the drinks were nothing special.Skipping this place next time.
Great spot for to have a few beers and some delicious pizza at. They have live music (not sure how often). I got my laptop on the weekend and worked here and the vibes were perfect. They give you the option of doing a half and half pizza so I tried the tree hugger and buttermilk ranch. Both were very good but I prefer the buttermilk ranch!
Wing Wednesday is a must at Sandbox and the service that we got was second to none! The weekends are busier but the atmosphere on a Wednesday night made it the perfect spot for a late night bite and drink specials that start at 9. Our server was courteous and nice the entire time. One of my favorite spots in Pacific Beach. Great new location and it has a welcoming vibe. My girlfriend and I tried the hot and mango habanero wings and neither disappointed. Meat was perfect and the flavoring is unmatched.
It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to get our food today due to the manager moving us to clear way for a "dance floor" for the DJ. He didn't communicate with his staff where he moved us, so they had no idea where the food was to go.I had to physically chase down staff to get utensils, the food, the drinks.The waitress we had even clocked out, and made us close our checks out so she could get her tips, so we didn't get any help from her when the food never came.
Pizza was good and def tasted handmade, nice atmosphere, parmesan bites could use a bit less on em but tasted good
First off…. It’s still RT’s Longboard on the inside..(bonus star)Food is on point! (Bonus star) But the service sucks!!!Wait staff is more interested in chatting with friends than helping customers … unless you want to wait 30 minutes to be even acknowledged… go somewhere else
