This place used to be our go to. Any time someone from out of town would visit, I would take them to get solid Mexican food or this place. Since recent madness made them change their policies and business practices it went downhill in a hurry. The quality of service is the worst I've had post-COVID, the food has dropped considerably in quality and they no longer allow freedom of choice in their store. I am not the only one who has had similar issues in recent past. Friends report lackluster staffing, friendliness and food freshness. Freshness is key with Poke. If you can't get that right, your days as a restaurant are numbered. Considering the ownership is the same for both locations in San Diego, don't expect a different experience from one location to another. We, as consumers, have options and this one should be removed from your list. Buyer beware.
I had the large poke bowl here. The service was fast and the servings were generous. This would normally be a lunch choice. On this day I had it for dinner and it was satisfying.
I LOVE THIS POKE !!! Great experience, super fresh, love their sauce, spicy mayo, love their protein choices: salmon, tuna, scallops, octopus, shrimp, spicy salmon and spicy tuna, and many others, their rice is always ON point, seriously has become one of my go to when I crave poke :)
I love the flavor, ?? but I have to mention that the small one is smaller than I thought because sometimes I buy the same one at Poke one & half and the small one is perfect and now I felt like I wasn't enough, and obviously price is a little higher but the flavors make this bowl worth it!I do recommend visiting this place but medium bowl is better.
Delicious. Never been here before and am working nearby now so I wanted to try a smoothie. Oh MG is the Pineapple twister amazing. Just what I needed today. I recommend checking this place out. I'll be back.
Love coming here when I crave poke! The milk tea boba is surprisingly good too. My favorite is salmon poke over white rice. Great service and food, always! Highly recommend this joint :)
Wouldn't let me order food without a mask, even if fully vaccinated on nov 2 2021. Went next door to the sandwich shop next door and got lunch instead instead.
Decent poke, but don’t try to use their online ordering. Every time I order, wait until after I get notification that it’s ready (about 30 minutes), show up and they don’t have it ready. Wouldn’t be as bad if the people who walk in after me are able to start their order with the employees from scratch and have their food before me who ordered it 30+ minutes before them. Poor system and lack of awareness by the employees at this location.
I’ll preface by saying the poke co has great food and I have been a customer from the first time they opened. The only caveat about this place is that they enforce a strict no face make no service rule. I’m not an anti-mask person but I am an anti-bad service person. When I asked for a disposable mask I got a face mask thrown at the counter very spitefully from the worker. I asked what’s the whole point of wearing this mask when you just threw it on the dirty counter? She obviously didn’t like the fact I said that and gave me probably the worst attitude I have ever received even from my worst enemy. I walked away and said thank you but I’m never eating here again. It’s a shame since I have been going to this place for such a long time.
Pretty good poke overall with a couple of caveats. I don't like that the majority of their sauces have some sort of Mayo or Ranch in them. Their Large containers are not large enough to hold the contents without spilling over. Half a star off for only carrying Pepsi products which in my opinion are inferior.I have also had to turn around and leave one time because I didn't have a mask. At this point being fully vaccinated I think it should be a choice. Mask signage is a little abrupt and condescending for a strip mall business that costs over $20 a meal.Staff is usually friendly.
