Delicious Peruvian food perfectly spiced!! The picante de mariscos was absolutely delicious!! I added the spicy green sauce on the side for more spice! My friend had the tallarin saltado de res which was also phenomenal! The waitress was very helpful in assisting us to make a choice as everything on the menu sounded great! The morado drinks were the perfect combination of sweet but not too sweet and cinnamon!! I will definitely be coming back here to explore more vibrant delicious flavors of this menu!! Truly the best Peruvian food in town!!
Visiting San Diego and found this little hole in the wall at Liberty Public Market. Food its good and fresh.
Authentic Peruvian food. I was little disappointed because I wanted try the fried sweet plantains and JALEA, both were unavailable and with limited options I had to choose seafood saltado, which was good. I will definitely visit again to try what I missed. The food was ready in 15 mins. There are few tables right next to the food counter and there are plenty around the marketplace.
Peruvian native here. This is hands down the best Peruvian food I've had in all of San Diego, and one of the top places I've been to in California. It's like being back in Callao and Lima.I am satisfied and happy. I'm coming back for when I crave my country's cuisine.
I was really excited to see Peruvian food in San Diego. I brought 3 people unfamiliar with it, and they all enjoyed the variety of dishes: Aji de Gallina, Bistek Saltado, and Mariscos along with salad and plantains. Very tasty and huge portions. ?
They have a sweet and savory crepes menu. On our first visit we tried the banana and strawberry nutella crepe, which was absolutely delicious. The next time, we had the chicken with spinach and mushroom crepe, which was also so good. They also sell ice cream.
I am peruvian, so my expectations are high : the staff was friendly; the food was not the best , the fried fish looked and tasted like cardboard the beef in the lomo saltado was over cooked and very salty ; fish ceviche was good. Hope it improves.
Recently we visited Liberty Station and came cross this Latin Chef Restaurant. We ordered a Peruvian food - a tiger’s milk and a salad with shrimp and Peruvian fat white corns. Both are very authentic and delicious dishes. Especially the shrimp is the most fresh ones that we ever had before. And Peruvian fat white corns are very fresh and tasty as well. The tiger’s milk impressed us with the fried & crispy corns floating on the top of the milk. And the price is very affordable. Besides the owner is very nice and friendly. When we visit San Diego again, we will definitely go back to have some more Peruvian food. We highly recommend this great restaurant.
Advise to the chef . Don’t use too much lime on the ceviche , it was bitter and tasteless. The less lime the better. For the Aji de Gallina please dont spare “Aji Amarillo “ use it more. The Aji de Gallina tasted like shredded chicken on a milk sauce. Not good.
Delicious choice! The food tasted fresh and just enough seasoning. Portions were generous which is great when the food is so good. Get the desserts if any are left they don't disappoint. So glad I live nearby because i'm going back soon.
