Hmmm, my expectations were likely higher than expected. Kebab's competitor would be Luna Grill. The reviews have been quite favorable. Despite the menu cuisine I would say this place definitely has more European influence instead of Middle Eastern influence which it probably should have. The food was edible. but I actually stopped eating my meal because it was lukewarm and mediocre with a high pricetag. High stars because the hummus is freshly prepared and really good. There was a little bird that entered and enjoyed the food droppings on the floor. So I guess if you're a bird this is a good place to eat and it would be free.

I have tried this restaurant first time at a different location in SD, and fell in love with it. I was really disappointed with CS and the quality of food. It was 90% lettuce and with a touch of shredded looking chicken. Refer to the attached image. Total disappointment, really felt that the employees didn't want to work. Really wanted to give zero stars, however my first experience 10 star.It was a park valley center location (bad experience)303 w beech, great experience.

I like the kabob plate a lot! The restaurant is clean and service is friendly and fast.

My first meal in SD and I am happy about it. Great location, patient and friendly staff. The portion is huge. Ordered a warp and I simply could not finish it. The lamb tastes good, all the other stuffing tastes fresh.

I ordered the doner fries. It comes with pickled red onions feta cheese your choice of lamb or chicken and of course plenty of fries. The food was very good and packed flavor from all of the ingredients. I chose lamb which was thinly sliced. I add ketchup for the fries. The food can get cold quickly but it reheats fine in a microwave. The service from the staff was good too. I gave 4 stars because the fries themselves are really nothing special.

The only halal option here is lamb meat. Prices have gone up since last time I visited this place but I guess these guys have to keep up with the rising cost of everything else. On the flip side, serving sizes are relatively generous. Food quality is good but by far not the best. This place also has some outdoor seating which is nice if you like to enjoy the nice San Diego weather ?Edit: I am changing my rating from original 4 to 5 stars. Owner followed up on my review and wanted my feedback that barred me from giving a 5-star experience. This shows that the owners are genuinely interested in customer's feedback to improve their business. I value that, so here are your 5-stars :)

First time and the best food for very fair prices. Loved the salads and such a friendly staff. Denise did a great job and we are definitely going back! Fast friendly healthy and clean!

Very meh. I was having a BIG craving for proper doner kebab. Like early morning after binge drinking European street food DONER. I tried The Kebab Shop and I'm sad to say my craving has definitely not been satisfied. My wallet was surely drained though. Maybe this is good if you haven't had the real thing. The quality of ingredients is fine. It's not trash food. It's just not doing justice to the gloriousness that is kebab.

Crazy salty with every bite. Meat is hard like it’s been sitting out for days. It’s fast food. This chain does not do real Mediterranean food justice. Ordered pickup and they forgot to add the sauces, but didn’t want to drive all the way back for them. Massively regret coming here.

We love the Kebab shop! We have catered a bunch of events with the Mission Valley store and the food has been amazing each and every time. We also just love to pop in and pick up a healthy dinner every now and then. The sauces are the best!
