Beautiful setting. Prices are a bit higher than expected but worth every cent, once your meal arrives. Their chicken sandwich is Perfection and who knew that something as simple as a kid's grilled cheese sandwich could be so decadent. Wow- we're still talking about our delicious lunch overlooking the course and cliffs, 2 days later.

We stopped by The Grill for an impromptu late afternoon snack after being unable to find parking at the nearby beach. Our 17 month old was tired, grumpy, and in need of food and fresh air. The Grill provided a great experience all around! You enter via the hotel; even though we weren't hotel guests, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and directed towards The Grill, which is a short walk through the beautiful hotel grounds (there are stairs, which weren't a problem for us as we didn't have our stroller with us, but wheelchair users would do well to call ahead to determine access options.)The staff at The Grill were no less welcoming than the hotel front desk staff, seating us quickly and without fuss; they provided a high chair for the small one, and *thoroughly* cleaned it beforehand which we sincerely appreciated.Service was quick and attentive without being overbearing, and the staff were jovial toward the baby - he is very cute though, so I can't blame them.We ate lightly - chicken wings and dessert for mom and dad, a grilled cheese for the baby. The grilled cheese was as plain as you'd expect food prepared for a baby - if your kids have a more refined palate, consider the main menu. The chicken wings were crisp on the outside, succulent on the inside, with excellent flavor; the accompanying dip (I believe a sriracha-blue cheese affair) complemented them nicely.Dessert consisted of a baked cheesecake accompanied by fresh fruit, and a magnificent chocolatey trifle-adjacent concoction. Both were delicious and hit the spot perfectly - generous but not excessive portions. We live locally, and so have little reason to stay in the hotel, but if the food and service at The Grill is representative of the wider experience, we may need to find a reason to stay there soon.

What a special place. Right along the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course with its superlative views of the ocean and Torrey Pines State Reserve. We enjoyed the tri tip offering and the Ruben sandwich. The Ruben was incredible. Not obscenely stacked as in NYC but perfect! A pickle side would have been nice. But,. Hey this is not NYC!

I had the Meatloaf Hash...omg!!! Soooo good!!! The others all had the Sloppy Joe's. They were great as well!! Service was a little slow but they were really busy.

Golfed the Pines with some buddies during Super Bowl week in this place is definitely an attraction. It is expensive for golf and one thing that’s very important to know is they will put as many people on the course as they can possibly squeeze in. We were either waiting or being hurried for every hole. Besides that, the restaurant was great nice big sizes for plates and they definitely have a decent chef back there

We stopped here as it was close to the park. Very nice outdoor seating. We got avocado toast and authentic sasperilla, simple yet done very well. Our server Eddie was a delight, he was very friendly , funny, and made our lunch special.

We arrive at 630 and met Unique. Biggest smile and a kind person. Very polite and professional. We returned at 12 for lunch and still smiling. It's nice to see pleasant people. PS. E yremely professional

Great Food, Great Staff, Great view. "Shout out" to Brian Anderson and Lisa Marie Wyman for making our visit one to remember. You all could teach a class on being courteous and professional. Thanks again!

We were headed for lunch at another restaurant at The Lodge which we found closed; but the Grill Bar was no second stringer. The walk from the hotel can be long (around the pool) or shorter (through the hotel). We arrived without a reservation and the indifferent hostess waved her hand in the general location of the bar where “there may be a table” even though the grill had many unbussed, idle tables. Nicholas was more welcoming and we enjoyed huge Reubens and great tomato soup, with a couple of beers. The room is very dark and has no view of the delightful scenery that one can observe from the patio. But, I guess, that is the penalty for arriving without a reservation and encountering a hostess who was doing no more than the minimum.

Portions are huge but quality is average. I had mahi mahi that was overdone. Calamari appetizer was huge but was rather soggy.
