Had a great time at DD on our recent visit! The service was slow, but our server was friendly. Had a great Baja Cobb salad with perfectly cooked steak on top. It was a large portion and I washed it down with an amazing cocktail! If service and attention was better I'd give this place a 5/5.

The best restaurant in San Diego!! Amazing food, drinks, vibe, and service!! Shout out to Kyle we love you!!!

Ordered a medium rare blue cheese burger. Took over an hour even though the people who ordered just ahead of us got their same order in 20 mins. Burger turned out to be well done, with the tiniest smidge of blue cheese possible. Bartenders barely acknowledged us.

Great food, great drinks and great service. All at a reasonable price. I spent $138 for 2 apps, 2 burger meals, surf & turf, filet mignon, 3 reg drinks and 2 grown up drinks. We went home on full and satisfied!!! Definitely going back.

This place has an amazing vibe. We had to look for parking on the street but we didn't have to wait to sit at the bar. Their brunch menu is small enough to fit in one page which was perfect for a usually indecisive patron. The food was absolutely delicious! The staff were super friendly, organized and efficient even dispite how very busy it was. This is the place to be for sunday brunch.

We came here to enjoy bottomless mimosas for a friend's 23rd birthday on Saturday (It was a party of 20). One person in our party is from out of the country and his International ID was declined by the security and our friend was told it would not be accepted. He also showed a photo of his passport and they also said that would not be accepted and he would not be allowed to drink. So we all sat down at our table and everyone was confused why a person who was of legal drinking age would not be allowed to drink, after providing government issued proof of their age. We asked our waiter (who was very kind) if there was anything he could do to help our friend, and he responded "yes of course, I'll see what I can do." Our waiter left and then the security and manager came back over to our table and told our friend he had to leave. He asked if he could go all the way home, grab his passport and then come back if that would solve the problem and they said "nope, you have to leave right now." They said he was being kicked out and refused to serve him any food. Our friend then had to call an uber and was standing up right next to our table (which was outside and on a public sidewalk) to wait for his uber. The security then came over and told him he was not allowed to stand there and forced him to walk further down the street away from the restaurant (despite it being a public sidewalk where he was standing). After this, all of us in the party made a gigantic fuss and we're reasonably extremely upset and the supposed "owner" was seen standing at the hostess stand laughing and staring at all of us. It was extremely disrespectful, xenophobic, discriminatory behavior that I have never before experienced at a restaurant in San Diego. WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND.

Always good food, drinks, service! Beach cruise stop. Awesome Mezcal Palomas. Never take a weekly cruise without a stop at the Duck Dive.

?? the chicken tenders were very well cooked: juicy and tender on the inside with that crunch on the outside from the buttermilk crust. The honey mustard and bbq sauce were a good combo with the chicken. I was disappointed with the duck fat fries that came with the chicken tenders though and think they can put more effort in here. The churros with the caramel center were a lovely way to end the meal and being able to dunk them in chocolate sauce or eat them with a spoonful of ice cream was even better

The food was very good. The drinks even better! The location and overall feel of the place was perfect. I had the spicy chicken sando, the flavors mixed so well together. The fries are delicious! I don’t know if it was the fat they used or what but I could have ate an entire second plate of them. The cocktail menu was good. The peach beach is by far the best craft cocktail I’ve had in a long while. Only thing lacking was the staff, while super friendly and helpful, we needed to get up and call them over if we needed something. It wasn’t busy and they were doing a few duties as a group, but each time we had to seek them out (only about 3 times). Wouldn’t stop me from coming back though!!!

Zero stars if I could. & all due to their lack of customer service. Came here with a group of friends. We were visiting from out of town. We got there at 9 am and was immediately told the entire place was reserved and we would have to leave by 11. Fine, we planned to eat, have some mimosas & had planned where we would go afterwards. Our server was passive aggressive the MAJORITY of the time he came to our table. In his tone and demeanor. To note, we weren’t a rowdy or needy group whatsoever. We asked for refills & hot sauce, that we had to go get on our own after waiting about 10 minutes for it. At one point, he grabbed the bottle of water we asked him to refill and rolled his eyes as he walked away. Finally, towards the end of our visit, he walks away, looks back at our table & shakes his head. That was the last straw for me so I went to go tell management about his poor behavior. It gets better. As I was speaking to two managers, one of them stood there and held a smirk on his face the entire time. As if my complaint was humorous to him. Please enlighten me as to what not only we did wrong to be treated so poorly, but as a manager, why was my complaint so funny to you? No wonder you have employees who treat customers like that. As a server & manager for 12 years in the restaurant business, you both should not be in the business. Additionally, the manager who smirked brought the server out to “talk to him” and I hear him tell him “don’t worry about it” pat him on his shoulder and send him back inside. I will definitely not come back here, nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone and if you’re reading this, there’s a place down the street from here who sells mimosa towers with 100% better service.
