My favorite coffee shop in San Diego right now- I’ve tried about 10 here and this is the best. Good hours. Wifi. Nice outdoor seating with umbrellas if it’s too hot. Super good matcha lattes (I order them lightened because they’re too sweet for me) and lots of food. It is also the almost affordable matcha in San Diego I’ve found so far as a large iced matcha with oat milk is typically 7-8$ but here it is 6$. The blended matcha is really good too!
People were efficient and friendly. Greeted each new arrival. Busy place but kept clients moving. Nice outdoor area but needs a wind break or heaters
I was picking up a only coffee order for someone. Two ladies working at this store on (JANUARY 23 at 6:50AM) asked me if I’m picking up an order. I told them the name. Then they proceed to tell me “usually people put them in a bag”. I said okay then put it in the bag. It’s your job you should know how to prepare food/drinks to go LOL. Anyways I was told there’s a “cup holder in there”. I feel around the bag and I only feel the cup. I call the store to discuss the situation. DOES IT LOOK LIKE THERE’S A CUP HOLDER IN THERE??? Poor customer service

Super busy, so wait time was understandable. When I got my matcha latte I thought I had taken someone else's coffee, it tasted oddly like a mocha. Wasn't bad, but definitely not what I was expecting.
I wanted do try a new coffee place and I've been looking at this place a few times when dining at Panini grill. Stopped by here before running errands and enjoyed their hazelnut latte on their patio. The patio had plenty of shade from the sun, and the coffee was delicious! I could really taste the hazelnut, I was pleased. Nice rest snd re-energize stop! I can definitely acknowledge when workers are trying their best, but these two workers I came across just don’t care. They barely acknowledge your existence in the store, no eye contact and who cares if the ice latte is now warm because you were left waiting for a regular coffee that should only take 5 seconds to get. Not sure what happened to this place but it’s obvious the workers are miserable and it shows.

This coffee shop is great. It always smells good and has plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. They have awesome mixed drinks and baked goods. It gets a little busy since it’s in a shopping complex but it’s got plenty of room to work at also.
This spot is a gem. I love coming to Balcony Coffee and Tea to write and work. Not only do they offer a beautiful ambiance with a serene, inspiring outdoor patio, but their service is impeccable and the coffee always tastes great.
