You are on vacation with your old buddies, eating different kind of food but at one point, you crave for your traditional taste. We found this place on our road trip and we simply loved the food. Food was delecious so as the hospitality of staff/owner ( we called her didi). Momos were extra big. So far, this was best food during this trip. Will definitely visit again.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the San Diego area! The food was incredibly flavorful. It was obvious that they're using fresh ingredients and making everything from scratch. I was very impressed! I was also delighted that they had so many wonderful vegan options. I would caution those who can't handle spice to request mild preparation. I asked for medium spice and nearly regretted it. Borderline too spicy for me, but I still enjoyed my meal thoroughly! Wonderful service too... I believe the owner also operates it.

Finding parking during lunch can be tough here but you can always do street parking. You can order ahead of time even with a group reservation. Lunch special is reasonably priced. Chicken masala with Saag Aloo is flavorful and good portion size. The staff is friendly too.

Friendly staff, tasty food, cute little spot. The patio will be great when construction is finished. The Lamb saag is amazing! The chicken vindaloo is tasty but a 5 on their spice scale is very hot, and I usually like ?. Get the herbed naan. We didn't have room for dessert, maybe next time.

Very tasty food, and you can't beat the lunch special. The curries are some of the best I've had. With the special you can choose two entrees, and as a vegetarian I was very happily surprised that they have two choices that perfectly fit my culinary lifestyle. And the naan was truly about the best I've ever had. It is absolutely fresh and thin and lightly crispy. The service is great too!

We ordered a biriyani and Kukhara ko masu. Both were very tasty. Only problem was that we ordered 5/10 on spice level, but it felt like 10/10. Since we had good spice tolerance it was fine. For people with low spice tolerance you may have to tone it down a bit.

Always delicious food here. One of my favorite locations of Taste of the Himalayas.Samosas, garlic cilantro naan and butter chicken are all musts. Staff and setting is very nice.

It is interesting when I search the keyword Himalaya on yelp, it pops more than 10 restaurants within 10 miles. Not all of them have the word, but most have. Why so many India /Nepal/Tibet restaurants around here?It took me more than 15 minutes to find a parking lot, almost every restaurant in the plaza has customers waiting outside.I used Hindi and Tibeten to greet the waiter, none of them get any respond. I assume he is a Nepalian, he barely speak English. We ordered the lunch special, and obviously, they served ours to the lay next table. The taste was really good though. Even I don't know whether it's our order. Most of them look the same.Anyway, very good taste. Recommend if you can find a parking lot.

This place is so amazing. Everything here is made with love. Food is very authentic Nepalese cuisine (from someone who lived in Asia for 1 year). You can tell that whoever is in the kitchen is a master chef! Service is great, very friendly and athmosphere very welcoming!
