Fantastic food! Really enjoyed the momos and lamb curry. Chef is from Bhutan so authentic Himalayan taste guaranteed here.
Ordered chicken Biryani ($15) and Gulab jamun ($4).The biryani was nothing like the real biryani, It was more of a “Kabseh” dish. So if you come here looking for the real Himalayan biryani you’ll be disappointed. But I loved the spices nevertheless. The spices were rich and balanced, and had the right kick. Quantity was good (I put my sunglasses and spoon for reference).Gulab jamun was good but extremely small in size. And only two balls!? I mean com’on you gotta break the duality, and the pun haha.
This place is one of my favorites around SD (which says a lot because like 95% of my other favs are taco shops). The portions are mid-sized, and I would prefer bigger, but I generally eat a lot so I think the sizes would be adequate for most. The pricing is pretty much exactly what I would expect for portion size.I give TotH 5 stars because the staff are excellent, so polite and attentive, and the food tastes incredible; you'll have to go to try it because me describing it won't be good enough. They have both intensely flavorful options as well as more earthy-flavored options, and both meat and veggies options. Not sure how the bottom of their spiciness scale goes, but as a person who loves spicy food, at TotH a 6 is where I go for baseline and 8 is where it starts to get too spicy for me to enjoy the flavors. Please try the badami naan!!!
One of the best Himalayan(Indian) food I ever had. The food took a while to get ready but the food worth every second of the wait. Highly recommend if you are patient you won't regret it.
Very bad food. All my friends are feeling like vomiting after eating the food. My head is still hurting after eating their food. Had to take a Tylenol after eating food.Curry was very sweet and salty. Tasted really bad. Won’t visit here again. Customer service was very bad. I don’t suggest this restaurant again!!
Great experience!!Tiny place, the small covered porch doubles the size of the restaurant. Very cozy. Food was incredible. The Tikka Masala was so good. They were very good about how spicy things are. A 1 is a 1 not a 6. The Veg Samosas were home made and sooo good!!! Also had the Ghinge Machha Ra Saag. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very good. The staff were very knowledgeable and had good suggestions. Truly enjoyed everything here!!
Food wasn’t fresh, we ordered butter chicken and tandoori salmon fish. And both were not fresh and wasn’t properly baked and garlic nan was burnt, so I just told the girl working in the front that it wasn’t the good food and it’s gonna b my last time here and her behavior was not at all good …and when I asked her name she said that I don’t and I don’t have time for you… and even when I asked the name or number of the owner she said that I don’t know anything.. it was so rude … instead of saying sorry she got mad at me… I highly recommend not to go over there… it’s just a waste of money …. Even my stomach got upset just cuz of rotten food they served to me … and even it took them 40 minutes to serve the food .. I request the owner to please take care of your staff …

The six of us showed up on a Monday night 30 minutes before they closed. They were going to turn us away and then we said you really want us to leave? The gentleman said as long as you can make it quick you can stay. We had travels along ways from Utah so we decided to try it out. They didn’t let us know three different times that we have 1 time to place the order, No changes. We didn’t have a lot of time there but they definitely redeem themselves with their food it was very good.! They also were not familiar with vegan curry dishes. But that is fine the food was good and we were out of there within 35 minutes.
Excellent flavors. Very good service. Only small issue I'd they ran out of the Sculpin IPA after only one beer and we had an early seating...
