I like the color of their sign and I also like the idea of a Tea House on Adams Avenue. They also serve Sa-kei,which I believe is served warmed. They had many happy guests the last time I went there before writing this review. The Outdoor seating area looks clean and bright.
Hands down one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. Great service and amazing sushi. Highly recommended!
excellent. perfect sake recommendations. the vegetarian appetizers and rolls were impressive. the japanese corn is delicious.
Hit or miss restaurant. While the location, servers, and decor are nice the food is subpar. I came here when they first opened and almost everything I ordered was terrible. (sushi rolls + kitchen entrees + apps)I went again recently and some of the kitchen items like Katsu was pretty good. I was happy for a day since I thought after a few years they turned things around until I ordered the wagyu bento for lunch today. One of the worst dishes I've had in san diego and surprised it's on the menu. Overly sweet sauce drenched in the rice, fake kimchi fried rice, and dry string beans. The miso soup was good. Also, I like that they accept Toast but then they make me sign a pointless receipt after? One of the reasons I use Toast is because it's a smooth process. Distasteful to add this extra step. The owners seem to care to improve the restaurant so I hope they will work on some of their strange kitchen items.
Overall pretty good, I highly recommend the pork belly dish.
Eaten here numerous times. Excellent quality food, and service. Equivalent to San Francisco Bay Area Japanese restaurants..which are outstanding.
One of the best sushi restaurant in the area. Very recommended
Based on prior reviews, decided to try this restaurant out. Wasn't disappointed. Small, cozy dining area with inside and outside seating. Reasonably priced items. Sushi was amazing. Great service.
We ordered chirachi bowls and rolls. While the fish was good, the dishes were so plain, no ginger, no wasabi, the rolls had more avocados than fish... It looked like the chef just put fish and rice together and moved on to the next takeout order. The quantity is very small as well. Not worth the price.
First time decided to come because of the good reviews via google. The staff who attended me was great and excellent customer service, however, the food was poor quality. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and the salmon poki. For the spicy tuna roll, the rice to sushi ingredients ratio was off. Too much rice and the rice was poor quality. Not worth it. The poki had so many unfamiliar ingredients and added sugar that it made me sick to my stomach. The ingredients used in the poki you find them in Costco and they tend to be heavily processed. The truth is I would not come back here even if they offered me free food. Staff service was excellent however!
