This is my favorite Indian restaurant I order through UberEats but in a month period they sent me wrong and missing items 5 times! It just has happened today again. They didn’t send the garlic naan and a coke can instead of a bottle.

Average food , both chicken samoosa and chicken biriyani tasted okay . Better than the other Indian restaurants around .

There is a reason this is poorly rated. AVOID!..they will nickel and dime you in any way possible. They will not adjust orders and charge you max price. Food is mediocre, staff is strict. Owner suggestion, be more friendly and willing to accommodate. There are too many Indian places and will not be back here.

This little restaurant has been open since 2012 and I am so happy that it made it through the covid crisis. There is no bus a there anymore which was my favorite but, there is a small menu to choose from. Lunch special $12.99 get a choice of two small entrees, rice and cucumber salad. There are seven comfortable boots in there and a half a dozen tables. There is a small patio in the front. Just a heads up there is no parking on 5th and University. There's a little parking lot on 4th that you pay and there is one on Robinson at Rite Aid. You can pay at.

Went into tandoori hut with high expectations, glad I did. Food was great with huge portions for thier lunch specials. Would definitely come back when in SD. The chai is very authentic and some of the best in town.

Had food delivered to my hotel when here for a conference. This was a delicious choice (chicken vindaloo) that was thick, spicy, loaded with nice chicken and was a generous portion. Rice was plentiful with it and I enjoyed the pakora for an appetizer (chutney and mint sauce not served with it). A good experience from Tandoori Hut.

Food isn’t bad at all, same pricing as most other Indian restaurants. The samosas were really great.Seating is a little so, so because couriers picking up food wait right in the middle of the store, there’s not much separation between where they wait and where guests who want to dine in wait in line too.Now for a bit of advice which isn’t a reflection of the good food. If you spill something on someone who comes to buy food at your place, apologies are the minimum and it was kind of you to offer that. But when mistakes like that happen, it’s actually an opportunity for you to go above and beyond. No one even offered some compensatory food or anything. The guest has to go and throw their clothes in the washing when all they came in for was to get food but now there’s the additional trouble of having to wash the clothing etc, walking through town with food stains on their clothes, and you couldn’t even offer anything to make up for that trouble? Where’s the realization and understanding? If this happens in the future, take a hint and make sure to offer the customer some compensation. You’ll actually end up coming across as proper pros at service. My 3 stars are a reflection of my experience at this place and frankly, it's quite generous, it should have been 2, if that. The food I'd rank at 4 stars so all in, it results in the middle with 3 for my experience.

Amazing!! My all time favorite Indian location. The food is truly delicious and I have not had food that compares. My personal favorite is the chicken tikka masala, it is so good. They also have wonderful non meat options. I would not hesitate to make the 20 min commute to go there time and time again.

We ordered dinner for delivery while staying at a nearby hotel. The ordering app asked if we wanted "utensils" like spoons & forks. We checked the box but the food was delivered without utensils. It was late in the evening and we had to eat the food without spoons or forks. The app asked for spice levels but they ignored our requested spice levels. The food was so hot we could barely eat it. They seem to ignore requests and don't follow instructions. Food was mediocre at the best. Spent over $60 for a BAD experience.

Favorite Indian spot in SD! The staff can seem a little standoffish at times, but I don't think it's out of any place of malice.AnywayCome try the food here, it's great
