A good place for a quick bite of sushi. Place was a little rough, but the fish was fresh and tasty. Service was fast, but the pictures of the rolls are slightly misleading... they were smaller than anticipated. Would return for more sushi in the future.

Best I've had in a long time. Fast service. Great selection. My new favorite place.

I will preface this by saying that I am not a sushi connoisseur and have probably only had sushi about 10 times in my life but I really enjoyed the rolls here. Particularly with the fried rolls you can’t really taste the fish but it’s the sauce and the texture of these fried rolls I really enjoyed. So even though in these cases you can’t taste the fish it’s very tasty food which is why I’m giving it a 5, especially for the fair price of the rolls. With the normal sushi rolls it is easier to taste the fish e.g. when there is a big piece of salmon on top, and there is no sauce to overpower the fish taste, I thought these rolls were also good. So if you want to get more of the natural fish taste steer clear of the fried rolls and rolls with a lot of sauce (even though these are very tasty in their own right as I mention above)

Always delicious! Always fresh! This location is 10/10. My go to’s are the Lips Special Roll, Yellowtail Scallion Roll and the Star Wars roll.Cheers!

Very fresh sushi, very welcoming, great service! We had the Dragon roll, Philly roll, and Mango rolls, along with the 3 x 5 Sashimi. All were spectacular, but the Dragon roll was just amazing.

Incredible! We eat here all the time and it’s always delicious. I’m vegan so I get the avocado rolls and my bf gets the tempura California rolls. If dining in, there may be a waitlist, but it’s worth the wait! Thankfully we live close by so pick up is easy too. Thanks Sushi Kuchi!

Sushi Kuchi not only has amazing prices for a wonderful menu, they are always welcoming and accommodating! It is our favorite sushi place in San Diego! Keep up the good work!!!

sushi was good, had to take it home. just a couple concerns of the gaping whole in the sink and the leaning toilet in the ladys room

Not the best sushi we have had. The Korean soft tofu stew was good. Disappointing for such a great location. Service was not fantastic either.

This place used to be Kabuki with the island in the middle with boats floating around with sushi on it. Side note, Kabuki was my first sushi experience ever RIP warm sushi.Same great location with hard to find parking. Better quality fish, sashimi and on to rolls. High quality servers and friendly atmosphere, this was a pleasant experience. There were 4 sushi chefs behind the counter and our food came quickly and here are the highlights:Sashimi was thick cut and had the BEST salmon we have had in a long minute. Buttery and thick... Very memorable. Tuna and hamachi also very good and fresh.Rolls were fresh and honestly inspiring, with a good portion on top as well as inside. The maki rolls were tight and impressive in their quality. I recommend the Lips Special and Sensual rolls.Appetizers were a mixed bag, the crispy rice with spicy tuna was phenom. The spicy garlic edamame needs work. We had only slivers of garlic not a paste or minced. It felt like an afterthought. Also the spicy sauce wasn't very good... Ototto has the clear winner on that dish. The combo plates had plentiful offerings of both sushi and other Japanese food. The miso was a perfect balance of briny deliciousness, and a wonderful green tea ice cream (best I've ever had!) to finish the meal. 4/5 will return for sure!
