The burger was so so disappointing. No flavor, dry, just lacking in every way. It was just bread with the dry patty and caramelized onions. There was some lettuce and sauce on the side. Adding that in did nothing. I don’t understand what these positive burger reviews are about. Everything else was okay and drinks were good and staff was great. But man what a terrible burger.
I came by starlite again the other night! A super cute little hidden spot in mission hills area. I've been here a few times in the past and I've always loved it. The inside of this place is so beautiful which is why I'd always come and grab drinks on nights out. It was my first time trying the food & it was okay. I probably would just stick to grabbing drinks inside when I come here just because I think that's the main attraction of this place!
This place fell down hard on service, despite beautiful decor, good cocktails, and decent food. We made a rooftop terrace reservation. Got the worst table, and inconsiderate service. Empty plates and glasses not cleared, water not refilled, candle went out, long gaps waiting for service, food came all at once despite ordering apps and mains. Felt rushed out the door. You can do better somewhere else. Not worth the trip out of the way.
Such a hidden gem!!!! We were seated immediately and the waiter was very attentive started us with drinks and appetizers right away. I truly wish I remembered his name to give a huge thank you for the excellent service. These 5 stars are for you. We didn’t know what the bone marrow was and our waiter did a phenomenal job explaining with close detail to every question that we had. We had the pan roasted chicken and the hamburger both dishes were absolutely delicious I highly recommend both. The decor gave such an elegant feel to the restaurant perfect for date night. I am glad we gave this place a chance I do not regret it and will be back soon!
The best meal I have had in SD in awhile, and we eat out alot! Also, amazing strong drinks. Grilled octopus is a must get. Ciopino was very good. Duck poutine was also very good. Highly recommend and will be going back!
This is definitely one of San Diego's Gem's and the fact that it's on the outside of S.D makes it perfect to stop by without a reservation! Parking was super easy. The food was extraordinary, the bone marrow was to kill for! Their burgers was also very delicious and the perfect size. Their drinks were on the stronger side which I'm not complaining. Highly recommend trying this place out, looking forward in returning
Not priced to be a go to place, but you can expect great quality of food, service, and vibes. Love the retro feel of the interior.
Amazing cocktails. I recommend the mule. We ordered the cheese plate added the homemade sausage which is a little spicy. Also recommend the chickpea greens. It was delicious collard greens with a chickpea batter. The pistachio ice cream sandwich is must. Food 5/5. Service 4/5.

Great place to have some fancy drinks and food! The atmosphere is very nice albeit sometimes a little loud. Great place for a date or to meet friends for a fun time. Good luck finding parking though.
