We tried out the various intestines and I guess I just don't like the preparation since I usually enjoy intestines. The other meat was just ok. We did get a decent amount of food for the price, but there were only a few side dishes which was a bit disappointing.
The beef kimchi soup is very salty and I think they added MSG, I need to drink a lot of water after the meal. I don’t recommend everyone to order the kimchi soup. Maybe we just order soup, so we only have two side dishes.
Maybe I expected too much but I felt like it could have been better. Ordered combo 2 which came with pork belly, brisket, and marinated meat. The marinated beef was rather flavorless. Pork belly was of good quality. Brisket is good but I haven't been to a kbbq place yet where brisket was bad. Marinated beef was definitely a -1 star. The place wasn't even half full but it took at least 15 minutes till our meat was brought to us. -1 star for that. The price point was also not cheap which made us expect a bit more in terms of service and quality. Also, the soybean soup or doinjangjjigae (된장찌개) was just salty watery soup. Naengmyun was pretty decent. The only reason I visited this place was because they had naengmyun (cold noodle)
Been wanting to go here for a while and finally had the chance to recently. We tried combo 2 which comes with brisket, pork belly, and short rib. My favorite was the short rib, it’s tender and juicy. Also tried their cold noodles which was super refreshing, pairs very well with the grilled meats so I’d definitely recommend it. When you are done grilling you can also order fried rice, they do it on the same grill with all the meat fat, make sure you wait for the rice to get a little crunchy! Overall amazing service, they grilled pretty much everything for us and service was fast. Apparently they do get really busy on weekends so do expect a wait!
Great place to eat some korean bbq and drinks with your friends. They’re located on convoy so you know it’ll be good! Can’t wait to come back!
Song Hak I definitely one of my favorite Korean barbecue places in San Diego. Even though they don’t do all you can eat I don’t mind because they use only the best quality meats. You can definitely taste the difference since everything is highly marbled ! They even have large intestines which is super authentic. Don’t forget to end your meal with their famous fried rice that is cooked on the griddle. If Korean barbecue is not your thing make sure to try out there galibi jjim which is super tender beef ribs in this flavorful soup.
We had a great experience from the time we walked in the doors until we left! Service was quick, full of smiles and always making sure we were well taken care of. All of the cuts of meat and the veggies we ordered were excellent quality and fresh! This is the perfect place to go out with friends or family looking for a great meal and a fun time together. 100% recommend!
I think this is my FAVE KBBQ spot for daechang in SD. It’s so freakin good and chewy. Other cuts I love: brisket, galbi and ribeye. In that order.Other things to highlight… steamed egg is always delish. I also love that they give the chives, sprouts and onion moochim. This with daechang is literally all I need but I get the other basic meats for my friends who don’t eat intestines.Remember to get the fried rice after. It’s a MUST!
You pay what you get. Good value for this price. Food is fresh and delicious. Must try. 100 times better than another famous Korean BBQ in town. If you prefer fresh and anthemic Korean BBQ, this one is a must try.
This was such a good experience. Different from other KBBQ in SD. The staff were super friendly and it was a slower night so they showed us how they cook different items. The meat quality is awesome. They have raised grills and traditional grills in tables and several different menus to choose from.
