I LOVE THIS PLACE!! It is so cute and the food is amazing! The customer service is impeccable and the are so quick with making your treats. I go here all the time and have never had an issue. I definitely reccomend taking your family here or just enjoying it on your own.
Super tasty and fun fish-shaped waffle cone. The menu is sort of confusing - every cone comes with one filling and toppings included. The upside down (in a bowl) is a nice way to have the ice cream.Ube and Cookies n Cream twist was very nice!
*No CASH accepted* Simple menu cause they specialize in what they are great at. I probably come here too much. Creamy soft serve matcha with red bean filling in fresh made cone for an affordable price. What’s not to love?! I will try it upside down next time cause it looks like the serving was slightly bigger and I just love the matcha ice cream.
We were in search of some new places to have dessert at and since we were down in San Diego we chose Somi Somi. There was no line at all, plenty of people already enjoying their desserts at the tables. Service was quick and ok. The wafer fish were crunchy and fresh. Ice cream was delicious and exactly what you would expect. Would I go out of my way to come here again... probably not. I would stop if I was in the area... maybe. I deducted a star for 2 reasons.... there was not much nutella in the filling, only a light spread inside the wafer fish AND the place could use a clean up... the table's outside were dirty, and the counters where they made the ice cream were a mess. I will stop again probably to try the other side where the toast is though.

I had very high hopes for this cute little fish but I was really disappointed. I took my son and two of my nieces. The employees seemed extremely annoyed that we didn’t know what we wanted and that we were asking questions. The menu is absolutely no help at all if you’ve never had this type of ice cream before. I ended up showing the employees a couple of pictures that I found on here that other reviewers had left and they said they couldn’t make it.The ice cream itself wasn’t bad, just tasted like normal soft serve with fruity pebbles on top. The filling that I got was purple and was supposed to taste like “sweet potato” but the texture was really grainy and gooey all at the same time and tasted nothing like sweet potato. It was sugary and kind of sour. Also, the filling is not in the ice cream it just sits in the bottom of the fish.Here’s my suggestions to you. Know what you’re ordering before you get there. Don’t get filling, but if you really want to then just stick with Nutella. I ordered a total of 4 and spent $29.
This is one of my favorite ice cream spots. The fish cookie filled with custard is mouthwatering.
In from Texas visiting our son, and after a long day of siteseeing, he suggested Somi Somi! We don't have anything similar where we're from...and now I wish we did! This place was outstanding! Such a unique selection (for us anyway) of flavors! We all different upside down Ahbongs, so it fun trying each one! They were all very good! The staff was very friendly and helped us know what flavor combos worked well! Very cool place and we highly recommend it!
So delicious we went to this place twice (including our last day) when we had limited days in San Diego. Super unique experience and definitely worth visiting!
