Another wonderful dinner at Solare. The food and wine were excellent!
Plenty of parking space. We were seated at our table right away although we arrived a but early for our reservation. Food was alright but nothing to rave about. Creme Brulee was a disappointment, unfortunately.
Noise and frequency of air traffic not conducive for conversation or a relaxing meal.
Just the best. Wild scallops risotto with truffles amazing!!!

Randy, the owner, has been a very welcoming host to us for years. The great food and fantastic wine selection as well as the ambience makes this restaurant a top notch choice. We enjoy eating outside on the patio. Randy and his team of cooks and severs have been together for years. We go to Solare whenever we celebrate a special occasion.
Every time we come here we are treated to a lovely setting, gracious service and very tasty food thatâs simply yet elegantly presented. Randy the owner made a point of stopping by and chatting and even regaled us with his tea-making techniques and rituals. Oh, and the cocktails are very on-point. The only (sort of) bummer is the planes taking off from Lindbergh. But you get used to it. Sort of. We love Solare and plan to visit again. Thanks, Randy and crew!
It was our 1st visit to Solare for dinner and we enjoyed it so much we went back for lunch the next day for lunch !! It's one of the best Italian restaurant if not the best in San diego well worth visiting. If you've never been to Liberty Station where Solare is located, It's decommissioned Naval Base worth exploring , the grounds are well maintained and restored to retail & trendy restaurants.
Solare Ristorante is our favorite restaurant in San Diego. It is our "go-to" for fine dining with friends, family and just us. Every time we go they have a new tantilizing addition to the menu From the superb appetizers, creative cocktails, to outstanding main courses with an authentic Italian flair, Solare is unmatched. Their deserts are amazing! The wine list is extensive and varied. Solare is named San Diego's Best Wine List for a good reason. The service, as exemplified by Francois is professional, friendly, and efficient. So go to Point Loma's historic Liberty Station for a great dining experience.
