If you love Hot Pot, THIS is the place. Small but nightly with great ambiance and decor. First place I’ve been where the spicy means Spicy! Make sure to get the ‘sauce’ and build your taste bud palette. The Wagu beef was the real deal and off the charts! Authentic selections, well organized and the line out the door is worth the wait!#hotpot #wagu #sandiego #kearnymesa #convoy #asian #nikkifrancis
Minus one star because there was a fly that keeps flying around our place and bugged me during the entire dinner. However, the hotpot was epic, like it is spicy and not some mild versions of spicy which is great! The snacks bar is my favorite and they are all pretty good. I would not recommend their spicy beef because it was not tender and quite dry. I recommend their pig brains for anyone brave enough to try, very tender and good haha.
This is the best quality hot pot restaurant I've ever had in the US. The last picture is the hometown summer dessert ~ cold shrimp.
Good food. Beautiful clean place. A bit pricey but worth ir!
I've been to their store in San Gabriel many times and always enjoyed it. So when I heard they were opening a store in San Diego I was excited to try it. I wasn't disappointed. The same great quality as the one up north; the same great selection and the same great sauce bar. Mix your own dipping condiments and enjoy snacks while you wait for your soup to boil. It even includes sweets for desert, if you're so inclined. A bit pricey but it's worth it. One issue is the parking. They're in a strip mall on Convoy, but that center has very limited parking. This place gets CROWDED at dinner time, so be prepared to wait if you show up at that time. My advice is to come early and park in the center across the street.
Delicious! So many dishes - efficient professional service.
So delicious, very fresh ingredients and lots of variety. The sauce and snack buffet is truly amazing! They even have a dessert section with haw haw flakes and cold Chinese sweets.
One of the best hotpot I’ve ever had in my life and the No.1 hotpot I’ve had in United States. If you are a spicy lover. This place is your heaven. I highly suggest you get the traditional spicy 9-cube pot, it looks fun and the flavor is insanely amazing. For the dishes to put in, I recommend spicy beef, tofu skin, cucumber, yam, and tapioca noodles. Their snack bar is awesome, I highly recommend you try the ice glass jelly and fried sesame balls. I’ll come back for sure. Maybe not on weekends because they are too popular, the line is pretty long.
The BEST hotpot in San Diego!I have tried Shancheng Lameizi in Milpitas and this one is pretty much the same good.Definitely love the snack bar :) so that you don’t get hungry while waiting the broth to boil. I love the rice cake also with the brown/red sugar.
Decided on the split pot with the spicy and the bone broth. The beef and lamb combo was okay, next time I suggest getting multiple orders of the fatty beef belly. You should always add the sauce and snack bar. The pork blood and the fried tofu skin were great.
