Our first time to this restaurant and it was overall a good restaurant. Minus one star because there was a fly that bugged me during the entire diner. We ordered the burgers, liang pi, lamb skewers, mount qi noodles which were all pretty good. I like their burgers which are quite authentic. The liang pi is also tasty. The staffs are ok and the service is quite fast which is a big plus.
This place has great, authentic food. We got the eggplant with garlic (amazing!!!!!) Biang biang noodles (amazing!!!) Lliang p w sesame (better than I expected, delish) and Cumin beef with hand pulled noodle (too high price point IMO, but noodles were great). Overall, a little pricey but worth it. We got 4 dishes for 3 people and we were stuffed. Very introvert friendly don’t come here for people to talk to you, come for the amazing food and quick service. Thank you so much! We will be back!
Food was great. I thought the prices were fair for the quality and amount of food you get. To go boxes are readily available for leftovers They do not provide a menu when you are seated. You are directed to scan a code and use your phone to view the menu & place your own order.Even though the wait staff has little to do, service is poor. They mostly stand by the kitchen chatting with their faces focused on their cell phone screens. My guest who had been to the restaurant several times said dealing with the wait staff is always an issue.I'll probably just return for takeout.
Always a favorite. Summer is the right time for endless cold dishes, pork jelly could use more spice but it is so troublesome to do at home so I ordered it. For cold days they have a big varity of soup and noodle. No useless rice. Enjoy!
Food is awesome! Very spicy but delicious. We had the pulled noodles with lamb in a Chile broth and the noodles were the absolute best hand made noodles!!!! The leek and pork dumpling soup was delicious although we just pulled out the dumplings and ate them separately since the soup had a lot of oil floating in it. The cucumber salad was very fresh and we ordered a shrimp fried rice for something not spicy and it was delicious (not just plain rice with soy sauce as other paces make it now). The best part of the meal was the haw berry iced tea. It was so cool and fruity and sweet and went perfectly with the spicy meal. After we ordered we saw this beautiful king filet soup and we plan to order that next time we go. The service was virtually non-existent and we barely got paper plates and cups to eat with but it really didnt sour the experience at all for me-the food was that good.
- Hand Pulled Noodle w. Cumin Beef ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great flavor. Large portion.- Stir-Fried Liang Pi (Spicy)⭐️⭐️⭐️It’s good but I don’t feel it’s “authentic good”.
One of the only places to get biang biang noodles in San Diego! We’ve also never had a bad dish from here. The vegetable dishes, especially with green beans and eggplant, are always perfect. The sweet and sour dumplings with leek taste like spring. The only negative reviews seem to be regarding the service. It’s true the staff won’t hover, smile, or make small talk. They’ll probably be on their phone unless you need something. But they aren’t rude, don’t make you wait for a check, and we aren’t going there to socialize - so it’s really fine.
Servers are on the phone. Wanted us to tip even more and terrible attitude.
Good food, bad service. (typical convoy) Fine overall experience, just make sure you get what you order. Not all pics on the menu resemble the plate they serve you. Also, if you ask for sharing plates or bowls, expect cardboard variety. Finally, to go containers cost us 0.50 per piece. It is a pricey experience, but pretty damn good food. Figure out your priorities while dining out and plan accordingly.
Food is okay. I was not expecting amazing service, but I was hoping for more flavor. A bit over-hyped. Better than typical American Chinese food, but not worth a long wait
