The food, wine pairings and service were the best in La Jolla easily. The found is based in Italian with so many other influences from France to Asia. We spent 2.5 hours there enjoying the 5 course dinner with fantastic wines with each course to compliment the excellent food! Again the best in La Jolla by far and we will frequent Semola!

This is truly a hidden gem of San Diego. We did the Chefs tasting menu and we were blown away with each course. Service was quick and friendly. For the quality of food I would describe this as a great deal if you take into account the entertainment aspect of exploring the food. Food was as delicious as it was beautiful. If you have children, I would suggest sitting away from the bar next door, which gets a little loud and might teach your children some new fun words but itâs an easy fix. I highly suggest Semola and we will be back!
The food was excellent and so was the service. I had the risotto di mare with scallops and prawns which was awesome. The restaurant has a vey nice ambiance!
