Okay so first of all I never eat at home I eat out every single day so I am such a critic of restaurants. Also, I’m super lazy and never write reviews because…. Who knows. Maybe I have never been so impressed. This place is amazing. I’m pescatarian, the hot wangs 10/10 … I used to work at a 5 star Italian restaurant on the east coast and I’m saying this caprese is 10/10. Basil on each tomato slice and portion is perfect with great pesto and tomatoes are actually fully ripe. Prices are beyond reasonable. Like seriously good luck finding any place with these prices and this food quality. I came here for breakfast the other day and had the artichoke benedict. Absolutely delicious. The eggs were poached perfectly. I’m obsessed with the atmosphere, food, service, the wine, it is allamazing. This place is a total gem through and through. I’m basically going to live here now. Love it!!!! I’m a teacher super close by and telling everyone I know about this restaurant. Cannot believe I’m so late to the game. 10000 stars.
This restaurant serves excellent food; simple, healthy, delicious. We did takeout because our group included a toddler and we were all pleased. Caesar salad, Mediterranean salad, both with grilled chicken were excellent.
One of my favorite local spots in PB to go to. The food is delicious and the coffee is really good. They also have taps and a full lunch menu. Definitely try the Greens Scramble. Best part for me is the staff and place is chill enough I can work and enjoy some food and a cup of coffee right by the beach!
Love the food and fast service.. we ordered artichoke cakes, ancient grain and the burger. Tasty vegan options. Nice outside seating and music. My new favorite place!
We asked hostess if they are dog friendly; was told they were; my puppy barked as well as other dogs in the establishment. We were asked to leave. As we left the same person who asked us to leave, was yakking it up with the owner of another one of the barking dogs. Guess it’s only dog friendly if you’re friends with staff. We had only began our lunch, no discount, no apologies. Other barking dogs and their owners were still there when we left. Motto should be “dog friendly if your buddies with the staff”.
One of the best places to eat in all of Pacific Beach. Everything is so fresh and so good. Great atmosphere, great service, awesome breakfast/brunch/lunch. Close to the main drag of PB and just block to the beach. Great location, great everything!
Food was Ok. I am vegetarian. The menu was pretty much what I cook myself. I asked for the ancient grains, my husband asked for the plant based burger and it wasn't good at all. After we finished our meals we waited for the staff to come so we could ask for the check, we tried to caught their attention and they didn't come over. We walked to the bar to pay.
Rancid meat - I am not sure when these other reviews were made, but they served burgers that were rancid (that's as close as I can say about the meat). And they say they are the best in North PB. What crap. After we told the server, she offered to take them off the menu, but left the food on the table and never offered to remove them. Salad had no dressing, and only 1 half a cherry tomato. Don't take this crappy food and deflation of food quality. You yoga/vegan/young-people wake up. Its a place for coffee and someone else's beer.
A delicious local favorite, we absolutely love Second Nature. Some favorites are “The Best Burger in North PB” the greek chicken plate, the side salad (delicious roast chickpeas on top) and for breakfast the avocado toast and any egg dish.Fun selection of local beers and affordable wines, as well as a divine mimosa flight and Kombucha flight.Ample outdoor seating and indoor feels like outdoor with awesome garage doors. Service is taking longer with staffing- be kind to the staff, they are hardworking and do their absolute best to keep things running fast and delicious.We love this place! A locals dream and a great find if you’re a visiting tourist. Prices are fair, food is fresh, and tons of plant based options too if you’re a group with mixed dietary preferences this is always a great go-to for breakfast lunch & dinner!
Used to be a nice place! Staff getting desperate! Lied about bacon price menu says one thing they charge another! Pathetic! I guess they will do whatever it takes to stay afloat. I'd suggest pick another spot or watch your bill.
