We've had lunch at Sattvik Foods 3 times so far and have only ordered the chat dishes (Indian street food), all exceptionally good. We share 3 Chat dishes at lunch for 2 people which we find to be plenty of food. Their curries vary by day and they offer a thali (which is a platter of a variety of curries and breads) so depending on the day you go there will be different items included in the Thali. The clientele is primarily Indian people which speaks volumes for the authenticity of the food. This is Indian Gujrati cuisine and everything is vegetarian, with vegan options offered. They also carry many Indian drinks such as Mango Lassi and sell Indian snacks and desserts pre-packaged to go. They seem to have a great take-out business. Although it's a very casual place for dine in, the tables are constantly occupied during lunch time. It's clean, and the staff sanitize the tables regularly. The chat dishes are all served on disposable plates with plastic ware. You may want to take cash with you as they charge a 4% fee if you use your credit card. Check out their menu online before you go, as the curries offered vary by day. It's also helpful to know ahead of going in what you want to order, as the menu there isn't as detailed as the one on their website. Many of the dishes are spicy hot. So far we've tried the Samosa Chat, Dahi Puri, Vada Pav, Dahi Vada, Sev Puri and Batata Vada. Planning to go back and try Thali dishes in the future. The location is a little odd, it's a hole in the wall surrounded by industry but really just look past the exterior surroundings, go in and try this place. If you like Indian food, you'll love theirs!
My husband bought this kaju katli but it’s melting even after keeping in the fridge. I had to throw in the trash as it looks weird and don’t know if it’s fresh or not.
The food was really good. As a pure vegetarian, I've been long looking for a place to eat at. This is perfect! Thoroughly enjoyed the chat, and Thali. As a Thali fan, finally have a place where I can enjoy food!
we came from San Jose, tried the food here & i must sayExcellent taste.. price is reasonable as well. loved the dabeli
I’ve been coming here with my family for a few years now, normally just getting takeout. The food is very tasty, and their whole menu is vegetarian. Food is made fresh daily. I like getting the thali. Indoor seating is limited, but clean and usually not too crowded.
It's okay..the food does look like home cooked..
Great Indian food. Not greasy at all. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. We were the only non Indian customers there and it was pretty busy which I take as a good sign as well
amazing place!! its all vegetarian and plenty of vegan selections. absolutely delicious, the portions are generous and the food is made ready to order. the flavor profile is wonderful, definitely will come back!
We ordered dabeli and vadapav and not at all satisfied. First thing, they are using hamburger bread buns which taste very bad in indian style food because chutney makes it soggy. Second, Dabeli masala was spoiled and the vada in vadapav was tasteless. Garlic chutney in vadapav was like gravy of panner tikka. Both were not at all good. I can not imagine these much poor quality. Will never recommend to anyone.
We come regularly for the Full Thali, a daily mix of 3 items with sides. We order it without even knowing what the dishes will be and they are always terrific. The samosa chaat is different than most samosa from Indian restaurant. It is a full dish with delicious sauce over the perfect samosa. It is Indian food but done slightly different. Highly recommend!
