Not my favorite ambiance, a bit crowded and loud for me. The tacos are worth enduring anything to taste. Fish tacos TKO style or bust. One of the best in San Diego. Brunch choices are solid. The upper patio and view are great for PB. Burgers are also solid, they cook them to the correct temperature.
This place has the worst guest service I have ever seen. My sisters and some friends are on vacation and we wanted some lunch. We were approached by a server who asked for our ids (4 out of 5 of us are 21) and he took our ids for 30 minutes not telling us anything and when we asked for them back so we can leave because of the terrible service the manager asked us to give them a second chance. Other employees were walking by us at the host station laughing and serving guests in line behind us. I may look young, but I am a restaurant owner myself. I would never take a guests identity away from them and refuse it back. If I was worried it was a fake after it scanned, I would have called the cops. Worst place ever. It says family friendly restaurant, but it is absolutely not. I hate giving bad reviews as I am a restaurant owner, however this place is terrible all around. Sad because we were excited about their food.
Great food. Got the taco plate and they definitely live up to high expectations. Reasonably priced and good fast service.

We sat outside in nice covered seating that had heating elements in the area to take the morning chill out of the air. The wait staff was very professional and nice to us. I ordered the Breakfast Hash and a “Bold and Brew-itful” drink. The is a must for a breakfast order. The quantity of food was good for the price. The drink was well worth the price as well. If you are hungry and on the broad walk, I would give this place a shot.
Noted for their fish tacos this eatery did not disappoint! Fabulous food. Our server Brian was outstanding! Highly recommend!
While in San Diego in the Belmont Park area we stopped at this place to grab a bite. Waitress told us that this was the best place for tacos. Sandbar did not disappoint! I would have to say this is a good go to place to grab a bite.Buffalo wings and the beans were delicious. Juan's Street Tacos were amazing, and flavorful!
The Sandbar was ok. Nothing special. The waitress was very friendly. I ordered the burger well done, had a lot of pink still. My wife enjoyed the house's special drink. Dining options are outdoor, indoor and rooftop. The views from the rooftop were good. I won't be returning here.
This is just a sports bar, half a block from the beach, nothing particular at first sight.Until you get in... the service is SPECTACULAR!!!There is a genuine intention to make you feel at home, congratulations!!! In times when customer service is failing overwhelmingly everywhere, this business understands the value in going to a friendly and professional place.But then comes the food... absolutely excellent!!!I tried the grilled shrimp taco, incredible! Fish taco, same, delicious. The steak salad with a home creation dressing... delicious!Voted best tacos in San Diego.
